You cannot currently choose which specific alerts to display, but what you can do is setup view limitation on that view and only show alerts for a device or interface etc. that a user has access to.

What versions are you on? If 10.1 and above you download and install the Orion Additional Poller and Orion Additional Web package and run those.

So from the server failing, can you attempt to login to the SQL DB via another method, SW DB Manager, MSFT SQL Tools, etc.

So first item, you can use APM to do this, see here Second item, yes, you can do that with NPM. We have an alert that ship out of the box around node reboot that should work.

When adding an account you can give them node management rights, but not admin rights, these are two options when creating an account.

When you say uses a Centralized Server, what do you mean? Do you mean DameWare Central Server? Can you ping the machine name from the command line? When they connect via VPN are they getting a DNS server?

When you installed you also selected the web install correct? Can you login to the web page? Do you have any other SQL CE installed on the same box?

What version are they on? In older versions we stored the maps on the file system, but in more recent version we are storing them in the database.

Unfortunantly you cannot display UnDP's or custom pollers on maps at this time, we have an open enhancement to add that functionality to the product.

Terrific feedback, a bunch of these items like DHCP integration, alerting are the direction where we are heading with future releases. I have documented all of these in our system.

You cannot do this today, this is only for internal messages. We have an enhancement request to allow you to have a scrolling banner or message of the day type functionality.

The parent can be a group. So add the pair of core switches to this new group you create and define that as the parent.
