Can you please open a support ticket on this item to look into
-
So you are seeing this on both the v1 and v2 switches?
-
Maps are now stored in the database starting in 9.5
-
We typically don't recommend deploying a polling engine across the WAN due to latency issues. If this is not an issue you can purchase an additional poller, which is in essence a headless Orion install and talks back to the central DB across the WAN. Another option is to put a smaller Orion install on that site with it's…

So let's dig into this some more. #1 - you can control which users can change their password and which cannot in 9.5, you can add it or remove it from the menu bar they see #2 - what type of password policies So do you prefer to use AD rather than Orion?
-
You can create a new ESX view or edit the existing one, see this blog post here
-
#1 - we have as an enhancement in the system to alert on this. If you own APM you can setup a monitor to look for this change on an IP as a workaround currently. #2 - So what you are looking for here is the ability to understand which port an IP is using and then the ability to track that over time? What else beyond that?…

No, you did it right. This is a known oversight/limitation. You can limit the user to which groups they see in the groups page in Orion, but they still can see all nodes in the all nodes resource etc. I already have an item filed against this.
-
What model and IOS version?
-
Please open a support ticket so we can investigate. Also what version are you on?
-
If these values and stats are exposed via SNMP you can create some Universal Device Pollers to grab this data and display on the web console dashboard.
-
Can you elaborate on the end use case you are looking to solve? There are a variety of different options depending on this. Byrona is right, you could also use IPSLA to do WAN performance tests and monitoring etc.
-
I have not heard or seen this from anyone else in the community, may be best to open a support ticket to see what is going on
-
VSAN or Virtual Storage Area Networks are similar to VLAN's in the regular networking world. VSAN is a Cisco specific implementation. Brocade & McData call these Zones. Unfortunantly, since Brocade does not expose Zones via SNMP we don't currently gather that information. If you are interested in this information, our…

I have not heard or seen this issue, please open a support ticket and reference this post
-
So node status roll-up is focused on node availability. If on maps you want to view things like applications, IPSLA operations, volumes etc. you can add those elements to maps
-
Not sure what is going on here, but your best bet is going to be to open a support ticket and include system diagnostics for troubleshooting
-
You can read some customer testimonies to our products here - http://thwack.com/forums/72.aspx You can also view reviews and awards Orion has received here http://www.solarwinds.com/company/reviews.aspx http://www.solarwinds.com/company/awards.aspx If you require more information, please contact your Solarwinds rep.

Can you explain further what you mean by a more fully integrated version? What problem are you looking to solve with the product?
-
When did you notice these changes in behavior, did you just recently add more elements to monitor? Looking at your node, volume and interface count and if you just have the Orion server and no second polling engine, that most likely is your issue, you are pushing the limits of the poller.
-
From Dev: Your alerting server is losing its connectivity to the database. Most likely an environmental issue. You should check your SQL server to see if it is having problems.
-
This is a known defect, issue #14072 for anyone interested
-
You are not running any service packs or 1.0.1? Since you are on 9.1 I doubt you can upgrade to 1.5
-
Need more information, if you haven't already I would recommend opening a support ticket to investigate further.
-
Do you have any other modules installed? Do you have anti-virus software on the Orion server with real-time file scan on?
-
We have many, many school and districts using Web Help Desk today. Could you expand a bit more on your use case and how you would like to leverage the product? If you are looking for a fellow user reference, others please chime in here and feel free to ping me via DM as well.

On Exchange 2007? We don't support that yet.
-
No, 9.5.1 only support SQL 2005 and 2008
-
See the first bullet regarding AD in this post of what we are working on. If you are a current customer of Orion under active maintenance we are currently in beta if you want to try it and kick the tires on it.
-
What version of APM do you have? Have you ever installed and evaluated any of the other modules?
