Do you have Engineers Toolset installed on your machine? For real time it leverages integration with toolset
-
Besides product documention, have you seen the tutorial on the website here

UnDP in maps is an open enhancement request, I will add you to the list. Right now you cannot extend the metrics beyond what we provide out of the box at this time. It is more likely to incrementially add items to metrics than putting an advanced alert type UI and workflow, what types of other metrics would you like to see…

What I have seen other users do is purchase an additional web server, place that in their DMZ and open the needed ports for the web console to communicate with Orion and then hit that outside of the office for the mobile views.
-
One place I would recommend starting is reading why others like SolarWinds and Orion, which can be found here
-
I will have to double check into, but I know we use the web API to access it, so that needs to be enabled
-
We have items you can group by out of the box like Machine Type, Vendor, etc. However, to do what I believe you are looking to accomplish right now you would probably need to use custom properties. What you are looking to do is group infrastrcture by service, is that correct?
-
We are currently in beta testing right now on this with a set of customers
-
This is a known defect and we plan on addressing in an upcoming SP
-
You should be able to use the Orion Web Backup/Restore configuration utility on the Orion server under Advanced options in the Orion folder
-
There is nothing special with the upgrade. Check the release notes for supported version, but the upgrade installer also checks your environment and tells you if you need to upgrade modules and if you have pollers, asks you to stop them etc. We support SQL 2005 and 2008 and run on Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 and 2008 R2…
-
Can you post a screenshot of what is getting returned?
-
In the broader scheme of things beyond just groups this is something we are looking at for the future. Basically the concept of a monitoring template. Ex. if device equals x, y and z then assign these UnDP's to it, set these custom properties etc.
-
If you look at the bottom of this page, we do support running Orion on VMWare. I will let others in the community chime in on their experiences, but typically we don't recommend running SQL on a VM.
-
I have not heard that from anyone else. Have you opened a Support ticket?
-
I will open a defect around this item and associate you to it. Would it be possible to have you send me the diagnostics so I can attach them to the defect for the Dev guys to track down the issue? So you may want to try this, I cannot guarentee it would work, but might be a workaround. With 9.5 we changed the discovery…

If you re-run the import utility do you get the same error? What is in the problem details?
-
I have not seen this one before, best bet is to open a support ticket
-
What URL are you hitting?
-
Do they want to backup the configurations from the NetApp devices? So were are you struggling with the alerting on the custom pollers, what is happening?
-
Best recommendation here would be to open a support case and since you are on 9.1 ensure you are running the latest SP which is SP5 and also consider upgrading to 9.5 SP3 as well
-
The short answer is yes. Are you looking for all events or a specific event? We ship Orion with a set of Event reports out-of-the-box you can leverage as it or use as a starting point template to create what you are looking for and then schedule them for devliery via email.
-
We will reach out to you offline to look into and resolve
-
Did you try re-running the configuration wizard?
-
Talked to Dev and you can try this Customer can put his html code from custom html resource into file and then put iframe into that resource to display that file.Or use javascript to load contents of that html file asynchronously.
-
You can achieve this by using a custom HTML resource and putting both gauges in there.
-
What column would you like to add? One thing you can do is if you edit the resource, there is a SQL filter capability in there, so you can filter that view based on some property like customer or building etc.
-
Did you try re-starting the NPM Service? Best bet is going to be a support ticket here I believe.

Byron, ping me on Monday on this further, I need to connect to my system and am not VPN'd in and investigate further.
