Thanks Denny. Always appreciated.

Thanks Chris. That's exactly what I ended up doing as a workaround. Would be a nice FR to allow users to change the supported config types for nodes so that seperate jobs aren't required. Thanks again for all the help.

If these charts are based off of the interface that you control, there may be periods where you will go well over your 30Mb CIR and since you aren't dropping the packets..the interface will show that they were sent fine. The ISP interface will show the drops and only allow 30Mb or a little above if bursting. My guess is…

Hey Denny, That would work but the issue is like with any of the snmp table information, I would have to create individual pollers for every row of every table per device. The functionality we need here is we already easily get the entire table via UnDP get table, now we just need the functionality of alarming on a single…

Ah...looks like I had something wrong in that one...I have uploaded a new file for you. Please try the new one and let me know.
-
Anyone else come up with anything custom to alarm on individual rows of UnDP tables? I am wondering if anyone figured out how to alarm on multiple rows on a single node....

Most of our devices block this type of behavior so my only option is to do UDP non-echo. Wish there was another client I could just quickly put on the other side but that is ok. Thanks for the answer.

Any update?

Perfect...thanks for the update Chris. Include me if you need someone to demo/beta test the next release.

I completely agree with John..the variable method he is refering to is exactly what I am talking about. If you need someone else to work with for testing/ideas let me know.

Using "Transfer Configs Using" TFTP works but with an issue on Extreme XOS. Extreme XOS stores its code in .xml format. When I try and view the config on the web page it displays a few lines with weird numbers on it instead of a config. When I view via NCM it displays in the correct format. I would love to work with you to…

Solarwinds NPM/NCM by a mile. We have both and I will tell you that CiscoWorks or LMS or whatever they want to call it today is a pile of crap. When the application decides to be functional, you gain tools like chassis view and good inventory reports but not worth the hassle. Solarwinds NCM can do as good a job of…

I did confirm this setting currently in the config is set to "set output more" so I will have the admin of this firewall make the modification above and see if without paging of the configuration it runs faster. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. This is something I will need to dig deeper into the details to find out what "summarized" data is sent, how often its sent, and what type of customizing can be done. Not digging the repeats of alerts/polling but that is fine..plus I assume I can't keep historical data on nodes that I would need to…

I had same issue with trap stop processing on ticket case #64387. The support person acknowledged it was a bug and havent heard any updates since.

Just tried from Script mgmt too. Tried to run script and nada. Seems to hang at same part. Tried going back to default NCM Cisco IOS proflle. No good. I have seen this issue before when the device prompt doesn't return NCM doesn't continue to send commands. I am running the latest NPM/NCM versions. This issue only comes up…

Thanks Peter.

To confirm the workaround...removing the Grouping from the report allowed the report to run via the web. I assume this will be corrected via a service pack?

Thanks for the info. I may have to do another trial to see what may or may not work for us.

Duplicate post...cleared

I am waiting for this as well. Until that time I wrote a custom sql statement in my alerts that will pull out the info I need. I have done this for BGP/VPN tunnels/F5 pools and it is working alright. Only issue is that if there is more than one row in an "error" state...it only can pull back one value so the first one will…

You shouldn't lose historical data by changing the IP address. If you are in Node Management, select a device and click "Edit Properties". Update the IP address field, hit submit and that should be it. I don't lose historical data when I do this.

Thanks Christine! Let us know once its available. I am getting hit pretty hard by a few groups around here not too happy with me for upgrading. :-)

Hey Allison, I didn't mean to sound like tickets don't get escalated. The issue is the time it takes as well as the reluctance of all tiers to communicate. If a case is escalated I should get an email notifying me the case was escalated and the new engineer assigned. I should be able to contact and do GoTo meetings and…

I previously posted a number of Netscreen UnDP's I use: Enjoy!

DUH....I completely forgot about that! Thank you....my brain has been overloaded and when asked why that was showing up recently I completely forgot. THANK YOU.

The Trap handling area is one that needs improvement. The ability to parse out info from a trap message via variables has been requested before. Maybe some can let use know of a test track # or feature request info on when or if this will be in a future release. This is a big problem since most trap receivers/management…

hey denny...can we also make sure that "copy rule" functionality is added to Trap rules in the pipeline. Currently no way to quickly copy rule to new rule. Only other thing with Trap alerts that needs improvement is the parsing of trap messages but I believe you are already aware of how important that is due to number of…

I tried that as well but doing that method...it was trying to have me at it as a gauge and since it is not a numerical value it failed. The value I am trying to show is a raw status grab of a mib for f5's that shows current cluster state. The value says "Active" or "Standby" and I want to show that value on my F5 device…
