This is what template has that came from Solarwinds: <Command Name="RESET" Value="config system console ${CRLF}set output standard ${CRLF}end"/> I don't believe my account has config rights so that may be problem. Do you know if this config once set stays applied for future sessions?

Turns out that table is related to Netflow and its collection of CBQoS stats. In versions prior to 3.6 this table got large...3.6 Neflow module fixes the issue. After I removed 3.6 install I guess it reverted to 3.5 setting so that is why it is growing large. I assume even with Netflow module uninstalled it must still be…

FYI..have case 99257 opened for issue when Events became slow....case 64389 was opened when Traps became slow.
-
That is odd. I don't personally have 8400's so possibly the System OID is not mapping correctly. I am running Orion 9.5 and have 3600's running version 9 code and it detects without issue.

Mark me down for this too!

Anyone else have this issue? Any one else want the ability to specify the order of the columns?

No problemo. This report will give 95th Percentile data per circuit (inbound/outbound) and will do it based on local site business hours (8am to 6pm) Monday thru Friday. You can adjust the time of business hours as well as what days of week to ignore. I have uploaded a zip file that contains my report as well as the…

I monitor it via protocols so thats how I see it show up in my conversations. I was just hoping it could be tracked under application..like say all ESP traffic is application "VPN" or something like that.
-
I tested the re-adding of the UnDP as a tabular resource and I was able to add the serial number mib to the node details page. Seems a bit odd it can't be done via the non-tabular method but I will take it.
-
Doh...I had to run the update for report schemas....now its working great.

SNMP is also used in polling for Interfaces. Since each node is only assigned one IP which is polled via ICMP to test node status..interfaces you add are polled for up/down via SNMP.

I may have a record for most posts to myself in a short period of time. :-) Even with me removing Startup, that fixes the problem where it pulls a startup config file, but I noticed it does toss a failed alarm in the logs that it failed to pull the backup. Can we make it so that users can manually set each node as to…

I ended up clearing all configs for device...attempting to pull down running config. This didn't resolve it so I set the "saved" config pull as the same command for running config to get it to clear the alarm. Then deleted the saved config and all is well now. Seems like alarm will only clear once you pull saved and…

Jon I have three SLX boxes and to keep things safe try to be below 8,000 elements per poller. I limit the interfaces I monitor especially on edge switches. I only monitor the trunk ports going to the core switches. Edge ports I don't bother monitor. If servers are connected to edge ports I simply monitor the NIC on the…

I am running into same issue with a few UnDP's I am trying to alert on as well (bgp state, f5 pool status, etc). Basically you can't pull out a single "row" of data that you want to alarm on. There is another thread on thwack for "alerting on bgp state". In there it appears TestTrack # 8047 is already in the works for…

Update: The configuration I provided in fact works for JUNOS on Solarwinds if you don't fill out the second authentication section when managing a node. Only fill out the top section title "SNMPV3 Credentials" and not the bottom "Read/Write SNMPv3 Credentials". With config like this: set snmp v3 usm local-engine user user1…

Interesting..even with the echo the server on the other side must not be sending the traffic back....wonder if something is blocking it on the server... I assumed that is the way it should work but I couldn't get our servers to echo back.

I am still waiting on getting contacted by someone from Solarwinds working on tihs request. I feel this is a biggie and the pain people feel migrating from products like HP NNM or any other trap receiver that has ability to parse out variables in traps could be greatly reduced by adding this functionality.
-
Anyone know if this limitation will be addressed in version 9 or an upcoming release? Like you we are in the process of making Solarwinds our primary trap receiver (replacing HP NNM) and this will affect our ability to cleanly make that transition. NNM has the options we require with pulling out variables within the trap…

I have a similar request in the ability to import a tftp job into NCM so that it can be viewed/compared via the NCM website. One I am working on right now is Extreme XOS configuration is only truly backup up if you tftp it from the switch. If I enter the tftp command line into the device template for "running" config..will…

The issue can come in when you are talking business hours reporting if you have offices around the globe. In order to do local business hours reporting for all sites you need a custom attribute that is based off of the hours in relation to GMT. We set our Solarwinds servers to GMT time so all data is collected based off…

Thanks for the quick reply. As far as CDOT support any time frame or idea of how high on the stack that feature is being actively worked on?

I am in need of this functionality as well. I am more interested in alarming based off of table data and being able to pull on the individual entry in the alarm. For instance a table of F5 pools and one is down. Right now I can't alarm on that single pool being down other than saying "A pool is down"...but I can't say…

I haven't noticed that before but it looks like an option. Couple questions: 1) Aren't the updates to EOC still SQL writes going across a WAN? Even though they may be scheduled, wouldn't that have same issus as if we simply had a remote poller sending its updates constantly back to the db? 2) If the EOC doesn't get…

Thanks for the info....it would be great to add a filtering method or a drop down selection for the "UnDP Status" web resource under Node Detail Reports so we can pick and choose which poller(s) we want displayed.
-
That looks good.

As always...keep up the good work. This is just one of those things management keeps asking about and I keep delaying them. I get so use to Solarwinds dev getting things corrected and new features added pretty quickly I just didn't think it would take this long.
-
I read that post as well. It did have to do with indexing those tables manually. Solarwinds support replied that they would include it and so far I haven't seen any performance increase. Plus I was a little hesitant to do the db work since I feel the issue is more with those resources since the db calls from the other…

Still no answer on this. Not getting responses again from support for updates on the case. I keep getting support telling me that its escalated to dev team but getting no feedback and no one from dev has contacted me to work thru issue. PLEASE HELP!!! This case was opened over a month ago.

Thanks..that post did provide a mechanism for me to do what I need. It's not the cleanest/pretty way to get the data but it will work for now. It would still be nice to potentially see an cleaner view builder within Netflow that has drop downs like for Time or Flow direction but on the individual charts. For example I…
