Hi guys, We are planning on purchasing PageGate, my question is which PageGate Interfaces should we purchase along with 100 recipient license: Web (CGI) Interface$ 100.00GUI Interface$ 200.00Email Interface$ 200.00Commandline/ASCII Interface$ 50.00Serial Interface$ 100.00TAP-in Interface$ 200.00Touchtone Receiver$…

Because of that L2/L3 topology enabled by default, the CPU of our routers nationwide spiked, good thing we managed to disable them all by the sql syntax. But I really hope the L2/L3 topology be initially disabled.

It's a good thing a came across this thread, we are planning to deploy additional polling servers on different subnet across our WAN, I think the location of the remote poller will have around 30ms or less latency from the central NPM and database.

rickrocks appreciate your input

I also want to be enlightened about the difference between the application report writer versus the web based. When I use the application, the export to excel is very slow like 20 records per second, while in web based it is so fast. NPM 11.0.1 here
-
Ok guys I am now enlightened, thank you all for your time, we are now really excited on upgrading to 10.6

Since the cloud made its debut in our team, they want to throw every system into that cloud as vm I really feel that Solarwinds will suffer greatly if its DB will be included in the cloud knowing that Solarwinds is a very critical tool to our operations.

Just for the benefit of other forum members, the problem is on the OS of the Nexus devices, which needs to be upgraded to the latest.

Maybe you are experiencing data gap. kiran javed wrote: If i am getting one data every hour then why it show the data as the sample interval increases??? The graph in your 1 minute interval shows that you only have three data from 9am to 11am and that is let us say at exactly 9am, 10am and 11am periods. Let's pick the data…

Sorry for the late response, We already ran the syntax on our VDC's and what we only saw are the ff: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.774.1.1.1.1 ciscoVdcMIB 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.774.1.1.1.2 ciscoVdcMIB 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.774.1.1.1.3 ciscoVdcMIB 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.774.1.1.1.4 ciscoVdcMIB 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.774.1.1.1.5 ciscoVdcMIB…

Thanks wbrown, Ill try those commands on monday and I hope that would clear everything

Ok I thought the MIB database on our customer portal is comprised only of MIBs we requested for compilation for the whole duration of our NPM usage (MIBs of our network devices), but as you have said it is updated regularly by Solarwinds of the MIBs even of new devices that we still don't have on our network?
-
Yes I am planning to use the alert on both ways, either increase or decrease, hopefully solarwinds could make this alert as one of the default alerts.
-
Number of links? about a hundred or more? as long as the traffic drops a certain bps from the previously polled traffic.
-
I think the problem is the lack of MIB, there's zxr10 MIB in Solarwinds MIB DB but the MIB for CPU/MEM OID is missing: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3902.3.3.1.1.6.1 = CPU Master 1.3.6.1.4.1.3902.3.3.1.1.6.2 = CPU Salve

I didn't notice the date of his graph, and you are probably right if the image was not taken last february. Actually I was having doubts if it was data gap but the data were exactly polled by the start of the hour which is weird for a data gap.
-
Thanks njoylif that did the job , we are actually new in version 10.x.x (about 3 months) coming from version 9.5.1
-
thamizh85 Yes that is our concern also in our company, we have now multi CPU graph (NPM 10.6) but we also like to know how to create alert per CPU. Right now we are just using a undp which is cpmCPUTotal5minRev (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.8)
-
We have tried that already, the node/s doesn't appear

up!

I can feel that the alert you made is correct lol but you can also try this: Trigger Alert when all of the following apply Poller Name is equal to bgpPeerState Numeric Status is equal to 6 Trigger Alert when any of the follow apply IP Address is equal to XX.XX.XX.XX IP Address is equal to XX.XX.XX.XX
-
instead of doing this: Trigger Alert when any of the follow apply IP Address is equal to XX.XX.XX.XX IP Address is equal to XX.XX.XX.XX try to create two separate alerts for each IP: Alert 1: Trigger Alert when all of the following apply OID is equal to 1.3.6.1.2.1.15.3.1.2 Numeric Status is not equal to 6 IP Address is…

Those are the values being polled by Solarwinds on one of our routers, that router has 15 bgp neighbors (sh ip bgp vpnv4 all sum) that is why there are 15 values, 14 are established (6) while 1 is idle (1). So if one of them is not equal to 6, solarwinds will send an email.
-
We have here NPM v10.2.x This is an email example of what I receive: 1, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6
-
Could you post your alert trigger condition settings?
-
Thank you!
-
Hi ">oithim_yew, I just want to share with you what we did to our network routers, instead of relying to average CPU, we added universal device poller "cpmCPUTotal5minRev" then we were able to create an alert per core of a router, for example the processor 1 of router A reaches 60% or above solarwinds will send an email…

Hello Everyone, Is it better to have a dedicated server for Solarwinds DB, or is it OK if we will put the DB into the cloud and this DB will be joining a lot of virtual machines. One factor I'm against the cloud is that the I/O for my DB will be affected since a lot of VMs also run in our private cloud.
-
up for this!
-
That only means you are only getting one data every hour, and those graphs are pretty normal that is the way solarwinds displays the graph. What I suspect on your graph is since it's consistent that it's every hour why don't you check your polling settings? maybe it was set to 60 mins?
