If the image match isn't working as expected when pushed to the player then I recommend recording the transaction on the same server where it will be played back. There could be subtle differences with how this is rendered between the two browsers or operating systems that could be causing the image match to fail.…

Based on the information you've provided it seems like everything is working as it should, except SAM. Please open a case with support and reference this thread. We'll need to look through your diagnostics to get a better understanding of why it's not working.

Mirroring the items shown through "List Resource" under "Manage Nodes" is a feature request we are tracking internally under FB206992.

612 processes? This may be causing the issue. Could you please open a case with support so we can troubleshoot this process properly? It may be possible that you're hitting some kind of limit that we're not aware of.

b3nw00d, I am intimately familiar with all the details of your issue and am monitoring it very closely. It's difficult to say definitely what the cause of the issue you're experiencing without some additional information which we are actively working with you to gather through diagnostics and webex sessions.

Without knowing more about the PowerShell script that is being called, the most common problem people encounter is verifying the script using 64bit PowerShell when the Alert action only uses 32bit PowerShell. Ensure that you are calling the 32bit PowerShell version in the Alert and that you are testing your script outside…

How is the node managed? It may be that because AppInsight for SQL was added manually to this node and was unable to detect the instances properly. I would recommend removing AppInsight for SQL from this node, change the node polling method to WMI and re-add AppInsight for SQL through "List Resources" to see if that…

That query returned results almost instantly. Maybe 1 second?

Are there any errors in the Windows Event Log when the failover occurs?
-
If the host has multiple interfaces, or you have an additional poller you can add the same server as a different node. You can of course run any reports you need, or click on any chart related to that node and export the data to Excel, CSV, text, HTML, etc. before deleting the node. You cannot however get that data back…

The ability to filter and exclude specific Windows events from AppInsight for Exchange or AppInsight for SQL not possible today in SAM 6.1.x. This can however be done in the SAM 6.2 beta that is currently available. * SAM 6.2 Beta - Because sometimes you feel like a nut - Part 1 * SAM 6.2 Beta - Because Sometimes You Feel…

It will depend upon the number of bugs found during the beta phase. Beta 3 is currently available, and a beta 4 may be available in the next few weeks.

I sorry to hear that support was unable to assist you with getting the automatic configuration working. I am however glad to hear that you got things working in the end. Based on the symptoms that you described above, and the steps you outlined that ultimately led to getting the server properly configured it sound like…

The Windows operating system makes this nearly impossible. At least not reliably and consistently across various Windows OS versions. While in my lab configuration all polling is indeed using the VIP, your mileage may vary. The only way to know for certain which IP address Windows is using for polling is to perform a…

Based on the MIB walk you provided it appears this host is running VMWare ESX v5. Is that correct? If that's the case then we are gathering battery status via the VMWare API or CIM protocol. Either way I've logged this as a bug and we're tracking it internally under FB224022. Thank you for bringing this to our attention…

That sir is dedication! The hotfix can be applied pre or post installation of the SAM beta. At worst, you may need to rerun the Configuration Wizard again after applying the hotfix.

I forgot..More than 120 GB or higher The size of the disk doesn't matter. The size of the disk determines how much information you can store, not how fast the information can be accessed (read/write). I would recommend 15k RPM SAS drives. Your RAID controller should also have a healthy amount of cache on board as well. At…

Currently script monitors do not return response time measurements. If you need response time included as part of your Outlook 2010 OWA monitoring needs I recommend checking out the SolarWinds Synthetic End User Monitor (SeUM)

Thanks for following back up and I'm glad to hear you managed to get the issue sorted out. This information will no-doubt help others in the community. I'll also see this information gets added to our KB system.

You can use the ${APM_ApplicationCustomProperties.MyProperty} macro in the To/CC fields of the Advanced Alert Manager, replace "MyProperty" with the name of your application custom property, and you should be good to go.
-
Use of SAM Application Custom Properties in the Advanced Alert Manager's To: and CC: Fields natively (no custom property tricks needed) should be fixed and working in the SAM 6.1 release.
-
Hmm... I see what you mean. The field considers the colon an illegal character. The only quick, off the top of my head workaround I can think of would be to use the "Execute an external program" action instead calling blat.

Will Web Node Management let you add the node? It may not have the interface MIB restriction. I'm trying to find a device in our lab that doesn't support this MIB to try it myself Wow, that worked great! I naturally assumed that if it didn't work in system manager that it wouldn't work using the web interface. I was…
-
I assume you don't want to add it as ICMP-only... Thanks for jumping in Denny. I don't have a problem adding these devices (now up to 15 total) as ICMP only devices, but they do support SNMP and I very much so would like to poll them using the Universal Device Poller, but that simply isn't possible if I add them as ICMP…

APM v4.2 was released yesterday which includes support for JMX. Below are the release notes. As tomb stated previously, if you are under active maintenance you can download APM 4.2 from your customer portal and upgrade immediately. http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/apm/docs/ReleaseNotes/releaseNotes.htm

We cannot speculate on when a release will be generally available, but my understanding is NPM 11.7 beta should be released before year end.
-
Can you enable follow-redirects? There may be a hidden redirect that's not noticeable when accessing through your browser. Beyond that I'm plumb out of ideas. If that doesn't work I recommend opening a case with support so we can more effectively troubleshoot this issue.
-
Have you tried using the default out-of-the-box "Alert me when the free space of a volume is less than 5%"?
-
Without seeing the script itself it's hard to say for sure but I I would expect to see something like "Write-Host" and a proper exit level for the script to execute properly within SAM. E.G. Write-Host "Message: this is my message"; Write-Host "Statistic: $stat"; Exit 1;

I believe I was referring to the following TCP Port Monitors within the Application Template
