Denny - Is there some place in the forums that is being tallied to see how many of your customers have a need for Cisco WLC functionality in Wireless Network Monitor? Being in a Network Consulting company, I see more and more of our customers going this way. We have one customer that is in the process of installing 22 WLCs…

Just as an update, I did not apply the latest service pack, yet on Saturday, when I took down the server and brought it back up, the AlertingEngine Events stopped and have not yet come back.

Wardini - that was it! The device in CatTools was configured to use a different account. I changed it to the one we used manually and it went through. Thanks for the help! Wendy

Thank you for the response!

Perfect! That is exactly what I needed!

I just created the ticket yesterday, Case #27765. I can understand that it hasn't even been 24 hours yet, so I may still receive a response. SolarWinds has always been responsive to any of my other tickets that I have submitted. My concern is with my employee's lack of response to his case (which is why I created one).…

Thanks for the link. I wish I would have found that thread prior to posting. I couldn't find anything for some reason. That is exactly what is going on with our system. I do want to say one thing, the issue (in our case) doesn't have anything to do with Advanced Alerts, since we do not have any configured or active. The…

What if you have a seperate web server? We applied service pack 3 to Orion and I cannot find any indication that it is on service pack 3. I didn't find any information in the release notes in regards to seperate web servers or applying the SP to a seperate webserver. Does this need to be assumed and will it affect anything…

Paul - that is not the same thing. What occasionally happens is after you do the steps that you have listed, the interface that you have removed from System Manager is still being displayed on the web interface of SolarWinds. It will not be listed on the node in System Manager as a selected interface. Now I have only seen…

This is interesting. We have two Orion databases with seperate polling engines, web servers, etc. Both time out, which I have a case open with SolarWinds and are actively working on that one as current as today. Both are on 8.5.1, only one is on SP2. The one on SP2 has the event log entries every 5 seconds as well. We do…

Correction, just found it: config global config system console set output standard end show full-configuration config system console set output more end end exit

Kenny - I am not that familiar with custom pollers and how to create them. I have read through the documenation and can't seem to grasp it. The online help video refers to Custom MIB Pollers however, v9 uses Universal Device Pollers which is completely different on how it works. I also found under the Orion NPM Universal…

Unfortunately, to do this, I would have to wait until next month during our maintenance window, as it would affect our customers. But thank you for the tip.

Wardini - We have not found a way to turn off the paging. The device is a Fortinet 200A. The commands we use to view the config are: config global show full-configuration We have to hit the space bar many times to get to the end.

I needed to keep the Node itself. So I followed your instructions, but removed the interface from the Interface table instead. It worked. Thank you Mark.

If you receive any response from Juniper on this issue, could you please inform me or reply to this post? I am having the same issue as well.

The person who works with me indicated that he had; however, I cannot confirm as he is off this week. Is there a way I can tell, maybe by a dll version, date or something?
