We use SharePoint to document and distribute troubleshooting procedure and resolutions. We also use dedicated SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) who are responsible to keeping up to date in their individual fields and then providing individual/group training to the team. Certifications are certainly encouraged but not required.

I am beginning to learn VoIP and use VNQM in my studies.

We use several tools to monitor different aspects of our networks. We currently use Solarwinds, NetMRI, PacketDesign & Splunk to monitor networks, routing & security. SatMonics and SIMs to monitor our RF networks.

We currently use an in house proprietary solution.

We have one security person at our company. He is highly motivated and enjoys the game of keeping evil from entering into our network. We consider ourselves lucky to have this person here.

VPN, Cirix, wireless air card & using smart phones as hot spots for us.

We use nested maps with locations as the first view and each click on equipment takes you into a more detailed view. Take a few amount of up keep but it is what works best for us.

It would seem that one tool that will be required will integrate monitoring capable of bridging the gap between IT Infrastructure and the physical facility systems (Environmental control) to manage the increased demand for cooling.

How long must this feature be on the "List of Things to Enhance" before it transitions on to the "List of Things You have Enhanced"? Seems like 4 years is a long time wait for a feature.

Standalone labels are jumping around on their own when adding new objects to the map.

This resolution will not work with NPM 10.4 which uses Dynamic Charts. Is there a updated resolution for NPM 10.4?
