Actually, if you read the thread, it appears that only a partial solution was found -- the problem is that for routers with multiple BGP peers, the alert goes out if any of them are down, and you can't tell which are down and which aren't. So this is by no means addressed completely with the UDP as far as I've seen; if…

Here here! How is it that something so intrinsic to what this product purports to provide (network information and alerting) is STILL not there 3 years later?

What's IPAM?

D'oh! I knew better than to get excited. Thanks. :)

It's not slowing it down, but I would like to actually see the thread info without having to open a browser, go to the forum, etc. Also interestingly, the Last UDPs module is displaying without issue...

This is really cool, but how are you guys getting multiple graph objects on one graph? I saw a blog post about it previously, but as far as I could see it was "coming soon" with no way to do it yet through NPM... ?

Was there ever a resolution to this? We're seeing the same thing with our APC UPS's -- even though the SNMP string used is the first in the list for the Network Sonar job, we get alerts from every UPS about "Detected an unauthorized user attempting to access the SNMP interface." It's November now (8 months after this…

We're getting the same error in the Trap viewer, coming from 127.0.0.1. The problem is that both localhost and 127.0.0.1 are already in the "Accept SNMP packets from these hosts" section of the Security tab under SNMP Service Properties. Anybody have any other ideas?

Now it's unreachable again. I can browse Thwack from a web browser on the NPM server. Grrrrr.
-
Yes, and I checked the firewall logs and verified that the port 80 traffic from the NPM to Solarwinds was going through. Now this morning it's working again. Very strange.
-
We'd love to see this in NPM as well.
-
Our NPM server is not behind a proxy and it has the needed Internet access. Within the past few weeks often now it says "Unable to contact thwack server." Is there some log I can check to see what the problem is?

I used method #2, works great... thanks!

Toolset Integration is already enabled. I have access to the default set of options when I right-click on a node. I simply don' t have SSH on the node link context menu and would like to. This is along with the fact that the SSH button on the Node View doesn't work correctly with the latest version of Putty (0.61), only…

Someone replied to this thread (as I got an e-mail alert for it) but strangely the post isn't here. The response recommended this KB article. However, we do not have egress or ingress flows configured, and we're not using Netflow on any devices.

Why should anyone have to create a custom poller just to get the duplex on an interface?? That's one of the three most basic attribute of a network interface -- Speed, Duplex and whether it's Up or Down! It's disappointing to see SW trying to sell a complete other product (UDT, which costs thousands of $$ for decent…

How did this simple fix not get into NPM 10.1?

Unfortunately that thread has to do with telnet being disabled in IE7 and re-enabling it by editing the registry. SSH has no corresponding entry disabling it in IE7 so that thread wasn't helpful. I have tried using URLconf as well (which automates the process of registering an Apphandler, just a shortcut to doing it…

I believe the setting you are looking for is under the Advanced tab in the Internet Explorer options. Look for an option that says "Warn if changing between secure and not secure mode" This was already unchecked in my browser and I'm still getting the "This page contains both secure and unsecure items" message. How do I…

I had the same problem (removed a portchannel on the device.) I fixed it by re-created the portchannel, then removing it from the NPM before re-removing it from the device.
-
This is still occurring. No one has seen this before?

Same kinds of problems here. We have Cisco 3750's that don't appear to know what port they're connected to other Cisco switches on, even though CDP is running and show cdp neighbor reveals the information readily on the switch. Re-running Network Sonar Discovery on only the devices that should show correct connections…

Repeat values in a gauge don't make any sense. Perhaps I live a sheltered life, but before seeing this on NPM, I have never before seen a gauge that has the same number listed twice on its dial. It's confusing and a waste of real-estate. I guess the question(s) is/are, why can't the gauge simply go straight from 1-5…

ODM... I've been told though that one must have an actual SQL Agent installed on the server in order for the scheduled backup to work, which is an additional license fee. I don't recall this being in the documentation, but I guess I could have missed it somewhere...

This is basically the same as the SSH button toward the top of the Node details list. That doesn't work either due to ssh:// not being handled properly. I've seen several threads about this but none of the suggested fixes with registering the protocol works for me.

This folder doesn't exist for Toolset 10.6 or 10.7 on my system. The only ToolsetIntegrationTray on the entire system is the .exe and the .exe.config.

Yes, it's correct within a few minutes in UTC.

I have found additional hosts to which this is happening, at different locations. Some duplicate all Syslogs, some only seem to duplicate certain entries. Again, if I reconfigure the devices to send syslogs directly to the Syslog server, the problem doesn't exist. I have tried recreating the tunnels, used different IDs,…

We're running NPM 10.1.1.
