I was incorrect, since the rogue detections are traps, they don't get communicated to Kiwi Syslog, so forwarding the syslogs doesn't help. When Dev fixes this, perhaps they could add a link under Wireless for "Detected Rogues" with a listing including APs that detected it, signal strength per AP, etc... the same stuff…

Hi Justin, Thanks for the recommendations. These were the first things I checked. If the problem were the Syslog rules, then they should be duplicated even when the devices is sending the syslogs only to the syslog server, right? The rule currently looks for the IP address field to match the network device. I checked to…

Bump to the top as this has come up in another thread asking about SSH in Node Details.

Anyone?

Perfect, thanks!

Just mis-leading. Found another cosmetic bug: Go to Admin > Create Group, give it a name, Show Only Nodes / Group by Building. If you have two building custom properties, but one is upper-case and one is lower-case (e.g. "Plt11" and "PLT11", no quotes), it lists them as two different entries with a differen number beside…

Works great, thanks much!

Thanks for the suggestion, but this is actually not even as effective a workaround as simply setting the Maximum value to 6 (which it can never reach.) Since the gauge is being used with a Temperature State value, we use the gauges that have increasing red as the number value increases. Moving that to a range that can…

This is using ET 10.7.

The service you mention is started and the Toolset Integration icon has a green ball. Still the problem persists.

I'm getting something similar where I have a DB backup scheduled weekly on Sunday. However, the configured directory for the backups is empty. The logfile shows no errors. Also, no matter what directory I specify for the destination, it resets to the MSSQL default backup location.

How? Once this is created, we'd have to somehow include it in the View. Wouldn't it be far simpler to have the ability to filter events from within the LastXXEvents component? That way you could search for specific events instead of having to edit reports on the server.

NPM 10.1.2. Where would I find that column?
-
These are some of the pages in the documentation that I mentioned in the original post. They appear to deal with the display when one clicks on the Events toolbar entry. I'm talking about the Last 25 Events gadget on the main window display.

I've checked the firmware on the UPS, SNMP/NIC card, and Envirosense card, and they are all up-to-date. I found the OID using the SNMP MIB Browser in the Engineer's Toolset. I have checked TrippLite's site, but their Support is sparse at best. Like I said, when I use the Univeral Device Poller, I can click on the Nodes…

Where would I find the diagnostics for the UnDP?

You're kidding... SNMPv3, which has been around and in use for years, is not supported?? This renders the "Toolset integration" almost useless for those of us who don't want to run insecure SNMP! When can we expect this future release?
-
Can you provide an example of how we would use "Custom SQL" for this, especially for those of us who are not DBA's?

I hadn't tried printing the map until after I upgraded to 10.7 so I'm unsure if it worked in the previous version. The PNG file only prints what is on the screen, so I have to select it to fit on the screen, which means that the map is teeny tiny and zooming in just pixilates it. This is of no use. It lets me select…

Wow... here we are, 6 years later, and I have the same problem. Can we please make this column resizable? The divider even allows you to move it -- until you release the mouse button, then it snaps back into place at 56 columns. Ugh!
-
We have the exact same problem: Cisco 3750 running snmp v2c, changed to SNMP v3, and suddenly we have no SNMP data, only PING data. This problem was reported over a year ago, what is the fix? Blowing away the device and historical data is not a viable solution!

ssh://(ip address) brings up an Error 404 when used with Internet Explorer 8 and 9 (Firefox is not permitted on our company network). There appears to be no way to add the SSH protocol to the allowed applications. I found a registry edit for it, but that doesn't appear to work either for PuTTY 0.62 (the latest version.)

This procedure does not work for IE7 and Putty 0.61. The error when clicking the SSH button within NPM is Unable to open connection to ssh Host does not exist

The only link that works in your post above is the one from Microsoft. Do you have any documentation from SolarWinds for this?
-
Anyone? No one looks at the traps and wonders why the MAC address is garbled??
-
I found the solution; the key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Kiwi Enterprises\Kiwi_TunnelClient\UDP Bindto0 must have the IP address of the NIC you want the client to use.

There are many other posts asking the same question. A lot of people would like to be able to supress this.

I'm interested in seeing this fixed as well. It is rather silly to have this in CAPS when the Cisco device neither reports it nor recognizes it that way. Copying / pasting the MAC from the Switchport Mapper into the Cisco command-line (for purposes of ARP lookup, etc) is also useless when this is in caps. When will this…
