Hi hghvolt4g3, can you check one thing, please? Insert a variable AssignmentName from Custom Node Poller into your alert message. You should see if the correct poller is selected in the alert message. Thanks, Pavel

Glen, This could be feature request to extend current UCS polling functionality. If you are interested in providing more feedback on the UCS we would be happy to hear it as we do not have too many customers using the UCS polling. Thanks, Pavel
-
But you can poll CPU and memory by adding the blade as SNMP node.Fans or power supplies are being polled from the UCS directly and can be seen on the Chassis details. Pavel

Hi Shaiful, yes, you can encounter the issue with every package which uses packageboot. In fact the problem is not in the package itself but in the publishing process. So every time you will be publishing package which includes packageboot make sure you download the content before publishing. It was pleasure to help you!…

Yes, you can see in the flashinstall.log that you are installing flash version 11_5_502_110 instead of 11.5.502.135. Which also means that you can not have correct versions of files in the registry so the installed rules are not fullfiled. Redownloading and republishing should fix the problem. Thanks, Pavel

Hi Sireesha, seems we are facing more then one issue in this case. Let's continue with the investigation through customer support/netsuite as we will need another files uploaded to our ftp. Thank you for your patience. Pavel

Hi Questionario, it wont (most probably) be fixed in the classic chart but it is fixed in the new chart style already. Thanks, Pavel
-
Cheryl, I would guess that this error was caused by device not responding to the snmp. Cheers, Pavel
-
I might be mistaken here but what UCS information do you expect to poll from the blade? UCS check box should be used only for the UCS device itself not for the blades or interconnects which are in fact normal nodes (servers) from polling point of view. Cheers, Pavel
-
Hi Thomas, NPM 10.4 polls HWH for network devices only. HWH on servers is polled by SAM. That is probably the reason why you dont see the HWH on your HP servers. Let me know if you have further questions. Thanks, Pavel
-
You got the error because there is missing the first part of the query (Select). Try to remove the apostrophe for adminstatus as it is not char but numeric value (I.AdminStatus=4). Pavel

Hi Sireesha, it is quite strange that you do not have the /Controls folder under Discovery. Anyway if you are able to find the ResourceTree.js in Inetpub/SolarWinds directory then you can replace it under its possition (not necessarily in Discover/Controls/ folder in case of customized installation) and the buddy drop…

jkevoian, check "Reset actions" tab for this alert. There should be same action as in "Trigger Actions". Thanks, Pavel
-
New web based reporting will be presented in next release which should be out in shorter period than usual. Stay tuned! Pavel

PSU or Fan is shown on UCS Chasses details page only and it is polled from the UCS. Cheers, Pavel
-
Hi Shaiful, What you described is a known issue which appears with packages with packageboot where the binary is overwritten during publishing process. In fact when you have a package which uses packageboot and you wont download the binary before publishing it will replace the binary with the packageboot.xml content. This…

Hi Shaiful, I was pleased to help you. Let me know when you need more assistance with your packages. Thanks for posting on thwack. Pavel

Hi hcy01uk, I will try to answer your questions but first of all let me summarize UCS polling in NPM. We use UCS polling only for the UCS itself (Virtual IP node in your case) and all the UCS information are polled from this node. Fabrics or blades are added as a "ordinary" nodes into NPM (without UCS polling). PSUs and…

If you once set the custom bandwidth and then you unchecked it as you did not want to use it anymore it stayed on the custom bandwidth until the interfacespeeed changes. This could be your case for NPM in version older than 10.4 where we fixed this. Custom bandwidth is overwritten by interfacespeed immediately the button…

Yep, Rick is right. I can confirm it was already reported and it is fixed in next release which should be out soon. Stay tuned Thanks for posting on thwack! Pavel

Take a look at "High Transmit Percent Utilization" alert. It can be modified by adding simple condition for receive utilization so it will work for both,
-
Hi Glen, Blade-1 is not supposed to be added as UCS (with credentials) but as ordinary node (SNMP, WMI...) in case it is not anoter UCS device. Cheers, Pavel

So let me clarify with you the issue, you see only "All nodes" view under "Home" and "Network" tab, right? You have set Home and Network tab to use "Admin" Menu bar and unfortunately there is not visible the bottom part of the Account page where are set "Home page view" and "Default Summary view" which contains name of…

Hi shetoshandasa, I would synchronize all your pollers to the same version as the first step. Also, if possible, do an upgrade to the latest version of NPM for all your pollers. If this doesn't help, do following steps: Go to your NPM installation folder (Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion) and launch LogAdjuster.exe.…

Hi Claudio, unfortunately I am not aware of any other way how to move your NPM installation than the deactivation/activation. You could try NPM in evaluation period but it is probably not what you are looking for. Regards, Pavel

First of all, is the query OK when you click Validate SQL in the alert manager? If yes, try to put the whole query (including the select part) to your DB and you will see what result you get and what's wrong with the query itself. As second you should double check that the Interfaces.Caption used in the query is same as in…

Hi Shaiful, When republishing an update that has been previously approved (which means the client may have downloaded the binaries), the following steps should be used (and I think this will fix the issue): * Remove the approvals from the originally published update. * EXPIRE the originally published update. * Force all…

Hi Lac, this sounds quite strange. Can you double check that the node is realy monitored as SNMP? Greyed out List resources button indicates ICMP node or Interface selected. Thanks, Pavel
-
Touche. Now I see your point. We will investigate this then. Thanks, Pavel

What I was told about those peaks is, that sometime there are counters on the device which overflow and send 0 to the NPM. This might generate the peak if it is a counter. Anyway let me know if you need other assistance! Cheers, Pavel
