Hi so i managed to get it working using another CPU oid - resCPUusage i couldnt get it working using the muliple cpu oid - nsCPUusage so no idea how solarwinds deals with table undp for alerting I followed the guide here and set the scope to resCPUusage and then the trigger as the value

Hi Did anyone get this working using the TFTP activity? We use VDOMs on our Fortinet so we need to go into global mode in order to run the execute backup command. I will see if I can get this working using variations. Cheers Jay

Hi If not Kiwi should be able to create a custom script for you. They have done this for our Company before with Radware devices. They may need acccess to the device in order to do this. Best bet is to send a support request for the device you want added and see what they come back with. Jay

Hi The reports feature as recommended will give you the serial numbers of the Cisco routers. We use this for our Cisco devices along with other vendors, Netscreen, Extreme Networks. Regards Jay

Hi Forgot to add. I raised this as a feature request which got passed onto the product development team. They have said this wouldn't be implemented as it's something that is implemented in Solarwinds NCM. Now we don't use Solarwinds, just Cattools. Hi If you go to the schedule section in setup. From the drop down you can select a task type of clean up. Then set up a clean up schedule from their. I do something similar where I remove all archived zipped files in a particular folder which are over a year old. Hope this helps Cheers Jay

Hi To get round the fact that your devices aren't in a dns table you could use the host file feature in syslog. There is a static hosts file in the root of your syslog folder. Just add your devices ip and hostname into this file, restart your syslog service and away you go. This may not be the answer you are looking for…

Hi Maybe the device isn't in your LAN dns table. What happens when you do a local dns lookup for that ip address? Does it resolve to the hostname? Jay

Hi Is there no interest in this type of feature? Does noone out there have standard build configurations they use on their devices and not think it would be useful to be able to check those devices are adhering to the standard build? Regards Jamie
