What is exact the trigger condition and what is Type of Property to monitor for alert ?
-
Try to verify user's access rights and limitations and views/dashboards limitations.
-
Just go to SETTINGS>MANAGE DASHBOARDS. Then click on ADD MODERN DASHBOARD and have fun (see screnshots)
-
I would deploy it again.

It looks that poller has been incorectly assigned. I mean SNMP is looking at wrong OID in device MIB. So my suggestion is to use another poller or create new one.

Hi, You may find lot of logs in xx:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs folder on Orion server (connect by RDP. It depends on your problem where to look for. If you want to look for NPM logs go to Orion subfolder (xx:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\Orion) ... and have fun

I'd say that NOC views are to display rather brief synthetic information so my few suggestions are: * gather information for one group of viewers (Network Team, Application Team etc.); * deploy all widgets at visible area of the screen screen; * avoid viewer actions within the screen (it is possible of course if anybody…

I'd like to have an option to buy anything outside US, UK or Germany

Yes, I've attended SolarWinds Academy courses in the past and I have attended at least one this year.

Hi, maybe there is nothing smart but I'd suggest to ignore discards if there are no performance issues. Once I had Cisco switch which reported hundrets of thousends of discards per hour on one port but nothing wrong happened, no performance nor transmission problems.

I'm pretty sure that it is not a technical problem with the integration but business related. BTW - There are 11 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary, those who don't and those who don't care Jaroslaw

Great work as for BASIC, thanks. Not sure if it is necessary to add stuff for HA, APE, AWS or so for the BASIC guide

There are lot of possible improvements for Network Atlas. Not looking at links colors ... I had sent some comments years ago when Network Atlas replaced Map Maker, especially regarding Network Atlas Settings what looks like poor free tool - still. I understand that sometimes it is easier to make fresh new application from…

I fully agree and vote for integrating of Syslog Viewer and Trap Viewer with NPM web interface.
-
I'd suggest to preview: * Database settings in Orion Polling Settings item under Administration tab, * Polling statistics intervals * SAM assigned monitors with their components, especially what type of data and error messages are collected (keep eye on WMI against SNMP polling - WMI components are 5 times less efficient…

Assure if added widget is specific for NPM node - not for another module. Or the widget is specific for Node Details view but not for summary view.
-
I'm afraid NPM cannot do that. I've seen RARITAN application which is monitoring physical stuff in racks with their rack sensors.
-
I'd suggest to use Custom Properties as powerfull tool for control and manage of many SolarWinds software functions and features. Each company uses own set of Custom Properties following it's needs and internal procedures so it is difficult to settle specific proposals. So I can advise to use Custom Propoerties as control…

When installed Orion Platform HF3 on Standby server manuallyty then Configuration Wizard run successfully. Weired but works :-)

Here is screenshot I've got during Configuration Wizard run.

I got similar problem with snmp-linux devices before (Debian Linux on Kuro Box). It was a case of snmp config files for device. I found what necessary SNMP configuration changes are to do on Kuro config files: in snmpd.conf file:first step# sec.name source communitycom2sec readonly default <your Orion snmp com.…

Try to change alert configuration - to suspend trigger for at least one cycle of polling. That should avoid fake alerts.
-
Hi, there is no limitation in NPM depending on SAM module installed or no. If you use agent based monitoring please assure you selected relevant resources on Windows servers. If you have network entities monitored via SNMP and Windows servers via agent then you may have to add servers manually and define connections…
-
as far as I know it needs to go to Control Panel -> and select Repair, then run Configuration Wizard again, and it should work
-
I'm not sure what monitor you use for that but if it is SNMP Monitor then you should activate snmp on Domino. It is described at Domino Administration documentation. Otherwise Lotus Notes specific OIDs are reported as unknown by SNMP.
-
Try to clone NTA Summary - edit and remove some less valuable frames. Then narrow down time slot. If you find any display lacks it means that there are some performance issues.

2 remarks (maybe will help): 1. Try to START service except RESTART because alert condition triggers when service is DOWN so it does not need restart. 2. Use Domain\Solarwinds_svc as that name format is suggested by notice below.
-
Just integrate Orion accounts with AD and disable all Orion accounts except Admin. Isn't it easier?
-
I'd suggest to check SysDrive:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\Orion\ConfigurationWizard.log and analyse errors.
-
I'd suggest to check SNMP config on that switch and If SNMP test on switch is OK from the polling engine then rediscover switch.
