I can add that the time the alert triggered may differs from time you receive alert message for some reasons like alert escalation (repeated) action, alert delay, mail system issues etc. And more - time when interface went down is not the same time when alert triggered. It depends on alert conditions and settings.

Thanks for suggestion but unfortunately that is not issue of SolarWind Agent. The SW Agent is not installed on Orion server but the problem occurs because of internal 'solaragent' used by Cortex service.
-
Thanks for info. Good to know that queries should run but when can I expect the fixing release? Working without navigation tree is rather inconvenient.

I got it I mean got your point. It is possible to keep both databases (with different names) on the same SQL server (if it is strong enough), however probably not recommended by SW. It depends practically on workload and performance of course (nr of nodes, interfaces aso). I mean "NetPerfMon" database is the same database…

You may create another database on the same SQL instance (for instance "newOrion") but you cannot use them both at the same time. To use another db you will have to run Config Wizard each time while switching between dbases, I think. But then you will have lost data in one db when using other. I'm just wondering why you…

So I'd suggest to run Config Wizard again.

I'd suggest to go to SOLARWINDS PRODUCT UPGRADE ADVISOR at https://customerportal.solarwinds.com/support/product-upgrade-advisor and select relevant path of upgrade Orion platform as well as OS-es and database.
-
Try to restart all services and Orion website.
-
Is that PDF totally blank or empty - shows nothing or are there no data?

I think that NPM have only one database schema. I mean you can use only one database connected by NPM at the same time. When you run Config Wizard you may create new database or change the name of default while configuring NPM but remember that database keeps all of your configuration critical information (licensing,…

I'd suggest to analyze Config Wizard log and possibly stop all services, reboot sql server then start Config Wizard again.
-
Try to check if you have a scheduled discovery enabled for scanning you network everyday or night.

by phone (any type)

Sorry but www.gestaotecc.com.br is in Portuguese which I don't know enough to read.

Infelizmente, eu não trabalho em português.

I've looked at MIB (attached) for your device and I think it should response for SNMP anyway. Even if there are only traps available then system OID should response. If not then you have wrong setting for device on NPM side or something wrong on device SNMP setting. Have you tested SNMPv2c with Community String public and…

... and mark up "keep historical data", I think :-)

I'll give you few more details. The task was in general: * to move database from SQL Server (MS SQL 2008) on existing server(MS Win 2008) to new server (MS Win 2012 R2 SP1) with MS SQL 2014; * to upgrade Orion Platform 2015 (NPM 11.5.3, NCM 7.4.1, SAM 6.2.3) to Orion Platform 2016 (upgrading modules to newest versions) on…

I understand your hasitating. So assign case ticket to SW Tech Support.

Martin, you're right - 'Component Name' doesn't have impact on APMServiceControl but I changed that to the same name as service name and changed alert settings just after. So I din't get new component name at drill down list immediately. Thanks again.

Have you entered proper Orion server IP in SNMP Manager field on screenshot from your link? I would uncheck Enable remote Button pairing field there. Have no other ideas at the moment.

Solarwinds consultant was working with gotomeeting on my pc and he removed old unused tables ( refering ti wireless and Application Monitor replaced now by APM) from NetPerfMon database on SQL server then run shrink on the database. The only tables with "Application" in name which have left are: Applications and…

I've experienced that kind of problem - company standard for NAS/SAN config is RAID 5 as the only one allowed :-(. We used around 6000 elements and around 30K pollers and performance is acceptable however not impressing. Probably more nodes/interfaces/applications would decrease performance significantly.

All you can do now is to switch entities icons from map style to status style: If you select Status only (icons) you will get:

Michael I just exported BizTalk Server 2009 General and Orchestrations Performance Counters template directly from my Orion server. I hope it would be useful.

I can add few more observed issues with Network Atlas: * changing object dimension in dimesions fields did not work properly sometimes especially "Height" field can not be changed and somehow it minimizes object size * moving label position causes reposition of other label randomly - I did not recognize the rule *…

Did you try to run Config Wizard after uninstallation? Another idea - maybe that document will help: Uninstall LA/OLV and restore legacy syslog and trap services

Hi Malik, I knew all those instructions and procedures for migration before I started. The problem is that they work if everything goes smoothly without other issues. I met licences stuck at Customer Portal Deactivated on old server and inaccessible on new one. To be honest instructions to migrate Orion server with few…

Martin, APMServiceControl works properly if used "Service name" only but PsService works for both - "Service name" and "Display name". However APMServiceControl works ok only if "Service name" is exactly the same as "Component Name" and "Net Service Name" in APM monitor. Thanks for great advice.

OK, then try SNMPv3 in NPM with delivered credentials: Integrator/Integrator with both encryption methods (MD5 or SHA1) as below: Maybe that will work
