Have you tried create a Dynamic Service Group (Settings > Manage Groups) and placing all of these (web transaction, apache application monitor, database application monitor) in a group? The group alert can include members and their status. That should help all teams know if one or multiple members are misbehaving.

The closest you can get to what you are after is to define a View by Device Type, which can you set from the global Settings page. ICMP nodes that are also discovered via vCenter (and so would any ICMP node) would have a device type of Unknown.
