This is done out of the box in Server and Application Monitor.
-
So, you want to hover over a node and would like the tooptip to show the apps hosted on that server. How are you tracking the apps list per server? Are you using SAM and NPM?
-
It's possible as described here https://thwack.solarwinds.com/thread/60313 but it is best to have the support team assess if this is really necessary. So, the first step would be to open a support ticket. If you want to offload the Syslog processing, this is again very much possible (see the section on using detached…

This would be a custom SQL report. The application availability report referenced earlier is the place to start, and adapt for your specific reports

Correct. See example 2 The Ultimate Linux Soft and Hard Link Guide (10 Ln Command Examples) ln -s /chroot/etc/named.conf /etc/named.conf should be the exact command I think Make a backup of the /chroot/etc/named.conf first

You may want to install another Trap receiver (like say Kiwi Syslog server) in the same network segment and see if the Traps are reaching the destination. More than likely, there is something blocking SNMP traps between SAM and HP OMW

the reason i asked is because of my comments on this thread False alerts on Checkpoint devices but i dont believe it is applicable in your case based on the troubkeshooting steps you have described. Throwing it out there anyway. the only other thing that comes to mind is the arp cache Look to the ARP Cache when…

It looks like it is just a Linux box under the hood Thecus, Creator in Storage. | Network Attached Storage Maybe a good idea to ask in the Thecus forum if there are any OIDs to poll or commands to run to get the disk status

ok great. you may want to mark the discussion as Answered or mark it as Helpful

hi, You just need an agent on a server than can talk to both networks. You can choose to put Profiler Server in either network (storage or production network) and leverage agents to monitor the resources in the respective networks. If you would like for an engineer to discuss these deployment options, either send me a…

To add to what Chrystal and novasamurai have already advised, you can use the 'specific IPs' rather than IP range or subnets if you know the list of IPs you need to add. If not, you can advise your colleagues to not select 'Windows' machine types when they are ready to import from the results of the discovery.

Enable session tracing (you can find it in the NCM settings section of the web console) Login to the NCM server, and launch the Network Configuration Manager win32 utility Choose your device, and initiate a download manually The session traces can be found under C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\NCM\Session-Trace…

You may want to close out the discussion. Which version of NPM do you have? Did you try to list resources for the SRX node in NPM to see if the tunnels appear as sub-interfaces?
-
Do you mean if I change the node views, other users wont see the changes unless they log into my account ? Yes, if other users are using a different Node Details view. Settings, Manage Account, Edit an account and you will see which Node Details views are assigned to a specific user account. So, create a new Node Details…

Yes, you will need to install both the 32 bit and 64 bit

This one looks like is meant to be an internal communication message, i.e., between Storage Manager Agent and Storage Manager server. "mod.sys.na.NetApp" is the module on the agent that is responsible for collecting data. I am guessing 21 is the device ID of the NetApp storage that the module has an issue connecting to. In…

If the goal is to email a report, you don't need which table holds the data. You can create a new web report, add a resource, choose Custom Table, choose Component from the drop down when it comes to defining Datasource, filter it to the exact component you are interested in. You should then be able to add in node name,…
-
There is a default filter in Manage Nodes for NCM licensed nodes and the rest. In any case, you can select nodes in bulk and assign NCM licenses in bulk.
-
You are looking at the time frame tab. You should be looking at the filter tab. You will find sample reports as attachments to this thread Executing a Set of SQL Codes at a Particular Time; is it with Orion Report Scheduler or Something else?
-
So, all PEs will have to use the same database. Why do you want to create separate databases?
-
Take a look at the 'current status of each component' report in the legacy report writer utility. You should be able to save it as a new report and add in a filter on component status not equal to Up. You can also mimic the same in the web reporter.

I am a little confused. You say charts and also talk about "thermometer" / gauges. If you are after a cart - on a Summary view, you could use 'Multiple Universal Device Pollers Chart' resource. It works for Transform pollers as well. If you are after linear and radial guages, it looks like it doesn't let you pick any GET…
-
It is Toolset web integration with Orion. So, you will need NPM and Toolset v11

Note that the alert will be evaluated against all nodes with volume description of /dev/u04_backup, /dev/u06_data or /dev/rms_backups. If you want this to be triggered specific volumes on specific nodes, you will need to do something like below ( a series of condition groups and simple conditions - pay attention to the…

I would add a TCP Port Monitor component monitor to that template that checks for port 17777

SWQL stands for SolarWinds Query Language. It is used for API queries, and is meant to abstract the database structure. If you want to run queries directly against the database, you should use SQL
-
I would recommend you create custom properties for your Teams and their email addresses. I see that your groups are already based on Dynamic Queries, and you can adjust your queries to be based on the Team custom property. The alert would be at a node level, not a group level and you can alert the appropriate team using…

Yes, in a standalone storage manager. it is not a new feature. Its Available in 5.6.2

have you selected those resources from 'List resources' and saved the same? Can you scroll down to the 'node details' resource and see what it says for the next poll time?
