I submitted a feature request. Could use your vote here.

You can do A for sure. Your rule would look something like (using the "File Audit Alerts" alert group): File Audit Alerts.FileName = <name or extension - e.g. *.exe or *importantstuff.txt> AND File Audit Alerts.ProviderSID = *USB-Defender* If you check out the USB File Auditing filter in your Console you can see what the…

Unless I'm missing something (which is certainly possible), I think we do this today. 1. Open the UnDP GUI. 2. Click Assign Pollers. 3. Select a group of pollers 4. Click Next. 5. Select a group of devices 6. Finish Again, sorry if that's missing your point. Also, if that gives you want you want, sorry that it wasn't as…

If you find yourself swamped with alerts, dependencies are useful. I find myself using these more and more... Define and use dependencies in Orion NPM - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support

Is the UnDP frequency controlled by the statistics collection on the nodes or the node polling frequency? This thread states the Node frequency but the following thread suggests the statistics collection:
-
UnDP polling is controlled by the node frequency. Breaking into a separate frequency is an outstanding feature request.
-
I don't know of that exact script, but it seems like you could modify this one to do what you're looking for.

The migration utility does not work with APM 2.0.

I understand that it is too late for this session, but I would be interested in participating in future sessions if available.juliebailey

I forgot to mention that participants will receive 2,000 Thwack points for participating! Julie Bailey

You could set up multiple daily jobs.
-
when you say customised, do you mean how many custom application pollers have you created? I have custom dashboards, support matrixes and little network atlas diagrams for each dept. It makes it easier for them to support their environments doing it this way. This is the sort of diagram I create... The above is for a small…

Here's a good blog as well:

Forgot: Solarwinds Orion v8.5.1.0
-
From what I can tell of VDP, it should be possible. There might be something about the LEM virtual appliance and data stores that is preventing it from just working. It looks like there are logs specific to each job, we probably need to check out the job for the LEM appliance and see where it's failing.

Not sure what's going on. It could be a bug. A support ticket might be worthwhile.

We have been a user for Pingdom for a while now and the them coming into the Solarwinds family is great news. I would love to see integration between any of the solarwinds products and pingdom. Being able to link Orion nodes with pingdom and being able to see this information on our NOC screens would be very wonderful.…

I think the answers to your questions can be found here: www.solarwinds.com/.../virtualization.aspx

Sonic, This is something I have definitely suggested, at least in NPM. We used to have one in WUG and it was great to scroll outage information, hot news or comments, etc. I know they have heard it but not sure where in the feature plans it is.
-
Yes NPM will update the servers automatically. You could use an alert for hardware changes to detect and make sure that the nodes are being monitored correctly. Polling Settings

Try changing: - Login Form Keyboards to (quicksearch) instead of (loginform)

Unfortunately, I have more to add to this. This is becoming very frustrating. VMware must have changed some stuff in 4.1 that Solarwinds is not playing nice with. It is not only looking for the item listed above, but on an ESXi Advanced licensed machine we have it is triggering the following out of the syslog alerting.…

Nevermind, I found where this error is logged. c:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\Orion Discovery Engine and Job logs are in: c:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Discovery Engine

Try this, from the Orion Admin Guide: http://www.solarwinds.com/NetPerfMon/SolarWinds/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm?context=SolarWinds&file=OrionAdministratorGuide.1.200.htm

There isn't a way to change the orders of the columns. We're looking at doing this for a future release.
-
the question is why would you want them both to stop the monitoring. if you are patching the primary then the FOE picks up keeps the monitoring going and then when you have the primary done you patch the FoE If you really want to shut it down thought then just go into FoE and kill it then go to the primary and shutdown to…

Going 1..... Anyone ??

Therefore would it be possible to run a separate NCM SL100 and NTA SL100 setup on the same server as the hot standby engine (which is covering the main NPM and NCM server) ? That won't work. Each Orion server will think it's the "boss" and there will be conflicts.
-
We (mostly Dev) thought about this and couldn't think of a way to do it. Adding the feature to a future release is a possibility, but even then, it would not be easy.
