I have been trying to do this for a while too with no luck. It would be nice to know if anyone has succeeded or to get some feedback/guide from Solarwinds showing how this works.
-
Do you have a question?
-
Hi Eric, We have not integrated with WebLogic, but, that'd be because nobody has requested it yet :)
-
Not sure what SP's you have installed, but NPM SP2 fixed this for me.
-
That means you are running v1.1 SP1. The third digit represents the SP.
-
You can poll a specific row. Create a poller per row and then assign them accordingly to your devices. Might want to view the description in the row for each device to make sure it's the temp you want. For CISCO, the temp table starts at 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.3 so you would just keep tagging on the next number…
-
What you did won't work. You need to use the Custom MIB Poller to do what you want to do.
-
If you're not seeing it in the SourceAccount field, it sounds like we might need to update our connector to make sure we're mapping in the user account information. If you can submit a sample, we can have our team correct it and make sure that data gets mapped to the right places.

Can you share your UnDP?
-
Apologies if you have already done this, but did you already change "Disable Session Timeout" under the user configuration to [Yes]?
-
Hi James, Gotta ask; which "Status" field are you actually using? The only column who's name contains the word status and is an integer type (which you need to link/join to the Orion.StatusInfo table) appears to be ChildStatus, at least according to SolarWinds\Orion SDK\Schema\3.0\Orion.Nodes.html. However, we're finding…

Any luck with this one ikomrad?

Can anyone please help?

Thanks, Steve. Will I have to recreate all of our scheduled reports or is there a way to export or save them so that I can just activate hem once I upgrade ? Doug

I'm having the same issue. Same version, same OS. On the same server as NPM. SQL2012 DB is on separate server. Let me know if I need to open a support case. Licensed customer.
-
I'm still running 7.8.5, and we are using the report scheduler, the MOM integration and the polls per second tuning Since there are separate versions for 7 & 8, do I need to do anything special to remove the v7 components before upgrading to Orion 8.0.1 ?

You could use something like this: http://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-62972 The SQL filter could be used in combination with a custom property to filter only for events you want.
-
if you limit what they can view in the group when you create it then the standard events page will be automatically filtered to the limitation you placed on the group of people. you probably have a AD entry for all the departments so align the groups to the AD entries and it will be easy. so for example create your net eng…

This isn't possible in a programmatic way. You can, however, create a page with lots of custom graphs on it using the Custom HTML resource. It would be somewhat tedious.

Showing applicaiton status on map nodes is not possibe at the moment; however, we are currently working on an update to the mapping tool that will allow us to do just that. Later in 2009.

Riyaz, I think NPM with APM supports everything you list, although I haven't gone through every item you list. Have you downloaded an evaluation copy of the product? It takes only a few minutes to set up, and it would answer this kind of question.
-
Sorry I have no answer for this; however I'm having this same issue. Has anyone else experienced this? If so what is the workaround? Thanks Adam
-
I have the same issue, Istalled SAM Demo Version on a NPM 11.5.2 and the applications are not showing in the appstack, is there anything we would be missing?

Anyone????

In Orion Report Writer, there are several options to export data: Text, Excel, PDF and several other formats. You could make custom reports and export them this way. Also you can use the BCP utility to export tables (with Nodes filtered on the Custom Property) to flat files. You could also use BCP with Task Scheduler to…
-
Yes, we plan to add this soon, but it won't be in Orion 9. Some time after that.

Hi, I was wondering about this setting myself. I always leave it as ICMP. I am guessing one reason Solarwinds give you the option to switch to SNMP only is to do with security. In a tightly controlled environment you may not be able to use ICMP to reach out to devices. In that situation you make sure that a Solarwinds SNMP…

it all depends on what you can give up detail on. if you can accept polling volumes once per hour that will relieve some of stress but the fastest and quickest way you can affect this is to increase your polling interval on interfaces since you have 13245 of them interfaces that go to users are usually a good place to…
