To capture the interactive logon, you do need an agent on their workstation, and the audit account logon audit policies enabled on that system. If you're seeing it in the event log and there's an agent installed, just make sure you also have the right security log connector enabled (it will try to choose the right one on…

In Version 12.1, the client login can be enabled and disabled globally in Setup > Client > Options. You can also enable and disable client login for clients in a specific location at Setup > Companies & Locations > Locations.

Nothing shows up under switches, but it works just great on the routers.

Mahh, thank you very much you helped me very well

I think I can help on this one. If you look in the Websites table, you'll see the website information for your server. The field SSLEnabled is set to 0. If you change it to 1, for most parts of Orion, it should properly prepend https:// instead of http:// when launching the website. There may be some cases where it doesn't…

We have this same problem with Orion NPM 9.1. It's a pain.

Can you post a screenshot of what you did? It'll be easier for everyone to help you fix it.

Deltona, Have you seen this thread and ">Bedrich.Michalekpost? You may find this report helpful.

We don't compile MIBs from Thwack. Please submit a Support ticket with the MIB files attached. The MIB will be compiled and the MIB DB updated. You can then download the updated MIB DB and update your copy.

I just uploaded a report to Content Exchange. This report is based on VirtualMachines.NodeID = 0. Does this work for you?

Bumping this thread.

So, a super crappy thing to note here, in my experience to date the "lock" event only gets fired when the "unlock" event gets fired, and not when the workstation actually gets locked. I really hope this changed in Windows 10, but every other version I worked with didn't actually log the lock until it logged the unlock, and…

This bug is scheduled for the next release, which is due out in the first half of 2008.

Hi borealhobbit, For more about licensing and activation, you should check this guide: http://documentation.dameware.com/dmg/#licensing_and_activation.htm Hope it helps a bit.

Brandon, The attached image is an image from a IPAM solution that does most of what our organization needs. I am trying to determine if this functionality is in the Solarwinds road map.. and if so in what kind of general time frame?

Michael, What do they need to do with Orion? I'm asking because I want to improve Orion's remote functionality, so it would help to understand your usage scenario. Thanks, Denny Denny LeCompte Sr. Product Manager, Orion SolarWinds

My feature request is to allow us to create views within System Manager that will provide both forward and reverse DNS lookup fields to choose and have the system check it realtime when the report is ran just as a tool like DNS audit does today. If this is not possible then I'd request a feature for the DNS Audit program…

open a support ticket to get a quick response and to get them working on it

It's not possible now. It's on the roadmap, but I don't have a date. Would it be acceptable to use the Report Scheduler to sent the report consumers with a link that would take them to an appropriate custom view that would show the data?

I have to run the Alerting service with a domain service account. Once I did this it works for me.
-
That's a known shortcoming that will be addressed in a future release.

here's a link i found maybe it can help you=) en.wikipedia.org/.../Comparison_of_network_monitoring_systems

The CatOS switches log different messages than IOS, but since you said stack, I'll assume IOS :) Sometimes this is possible with the link up-down messages that will come in - if a module/switch in the stack goes offline, you'll see it disconnect, and can monitor for that interface in the link messages. You'll just need to…

Hey I was just wondering if you ever got this figured out. I am also an admin for a Utility company following NERC standards. I have alerts setup, but it is giving way to much information.

We ran into this problem a while back. Our Backup network is a Class C subnet The other (Primary) NIC is intended for all other network traffic. To resolve this we ended up not setting a default gateway on the Backup Network NIC. We also do not set DNS Server entries and uncheck the Dynamic Register with DNS on that NIC to…

Hi saroopmalhi, A good place to start would be the documentation section for each of these products. If you go to the top navigation bar, choose the product you want under Product forums, and then click on Documentation, you will find a lot of useful articles that can point you in the right direction, depending on your…

If your rule correlates multiple different types of events, you might have to look for the two types of events separately (or in the same filter) and then examine the timeframe yourself. Since filters are basically a "yes" or "no" question, they don't compare alerts to each other, they compare incoming alerts to a set of…

Dori, We definitely support Win2k3 SP2. You should probably open a Support ticket.

I was able to figure it out. I restarted the WPM services in Orion Services. I had tried restarting them from windows but that didn't seem to work.

most port names will give you what you are looking for. the actual port name will be g0/0 denoting it as a gig port whereas if the port was FE only then it would be F0/0. make sure you look at the interface name and not just the alias asigned to it.
