I'm starting on Sep 8th at 12:15 AM and ending Sep 8th at 8:34AM (8 hours and 19 minutes later). The start date and end date are the same. The start time is before the end time. I guess I don't understand your point. I don't see any empty space in that range. Rick

Thanks for the answer. Btw what I'm looking for is a way to delete records older than x days.

Was there ever any resolution to this issue?

Agreed, re-writing your VB scripts to PowerShell will not only benefit SAM execution, it will assist your automation needs as you leverage the .net object based logic.

zbynek.botlo, Do you know how I can get this same report but filter by a nodes custom property? I am trying to just give our Network Ops department their alerts. Thanks for your help! -Michael

Thanks. Having thwack templates available in the product will be a nice touch, and something which I will definitely contribute and use. And your thoughts on incorporating a TCP port scanning function are...

For the argument I tried: ${IP} "\D\E:\SFTP_ROOT" ${USER} ${PASSWORD} "" ...but this is failing with message "Testing failed on node solarwinds with "Unknown status" "C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Orion\Temp\(long number won't let me copy)(10,1) WSHNetwork.MapNetworkDrive: The network name can not be found. Thanks Andy!

That looks great. Trying ...

I'm not sure about exactly what you describe, but topology-based alert suppression is at the very top of my list of features on the roadmap.

Hi. My glimpse at this makes me think that it checks for a single account. Correct? What I need is an alert whenever any AD account gets a lockout. Thx.
-
Do you mean by 'LOCAL accounts' that these are names under Windows Local Users?
-
nding, Can you post an example? I have plenty of counters that do not result in delta being displayed in the web console. It is my understanding there is no facility to do so for UnDP. That is why I requested the ability to call an external program via UnDP.

Hi, I wanted to add this blog post as well for others that may see this post. This gives a great description of the difference between the tools and why you want them both. SQL Server Two Ways - SAM AppInsight for SQL and Database Performance Analyzer Kathy

Today I uncovered EXACTLY WHY the 12c Installer (OUI) appears to HANG at 89% at the "saving inventory" step 9 of 10 !!! If you are providing an ORACLE_BASE folder that already contains subfolders and files under it, the OUI starts assigning Windows ACL file-permissions to EVERY FILE and FOLDER under the ORACLE_BASE folder!…

Awesome, thanks Malik.

Thanks, have you considered instances where the OID is not polling correctly, or has not polled at all?

The symptoms in the post don't match the issue that I'm having. It appears his issues were with any NPM install or upgrade. I've checked the SP2 installation log and nothing appears to have failed. I had no problems with my initial 8.5.1 install; upgrades to 9.0 then 9.0 SP1 have not had issues either.

Dang.... when I did that I lost all of my groupings. All nodes are showing ungrouped now. When I put it back it is still broke. Use with caution.
-
This is also a request /suggestion that has been fed back from my management. We like the IP SLA manager but would it be possible to include number of calls in realtime and historical reports across the paths in a future version? TIA

There's the catch.. "if there are new alerts once the page refreshes". If I have one failed switch, the alert will trigger on the first refresh, but not subsequently, if the switch is still down.

Hello bugrw, Were you able to get this resolved? Our current version of NPM is not supported with SQL 2008 R2. I'll be happy to jump on the line with you and get this resolved. Rachel Jenkins • SolarWinds • Sales Engineering Manager • North America Office: 512.682.9686 |

I am sorry it is enable and the port 1433 has set perfectly. Seriously I can’t see what’s going wrong. And on the database server I was able to login with windows authenticating perfectly but through my solarwinds server. I am almost fired

Sure Let me send it to you from this following email: yoldy.simon@tek911.ht Note: I already set the TCP/IP and it is enable and has as port 1433 configured neither in both firewall, I also set the enable aceptenance of remote connection. Best

hello, I did all you said above, and the servers are in the subnet. Now i try to reconfigure sql and I have this message back: “The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication”
-
Hello, I am sorry. I already open the port 1433 also 1434 in the inbound firewall. and I set also the sql database port 1433 under network configuration and it still does not work .
-
That's it exactly. Thank you!

Thank you very much for that code sum_giais. I appreciate your help. Interestingly enough, daylight saving commences today and it seems to have fixed my issue without using the code. I think it may be a windows error in the time settings I need to update.

Yep, that did it. Only problem I have now is the node doesn't seem to populate all data(ie: vendor, etc). If I go to the node and select 'rediscover' that problem fixes itself. Is there some way to trigger a rediscover of the node from the API too?
