Where was this configured/Where can this be changed? Thanks!

Thanks for the information. Are you running the Orion and Cirrus apps on the same server, and are you housing both the Orion and Cirrus databases on the same but separate server? Just curious. Yes, we are running Cirrus and Orion on the same box (we also have another Orion Polling server) and the Cirrus and Orion Databases…

sorry to bother you again, but I was able to download the hot fix but I'm confused about how to apply it? Any help would be appreciated.
-
Yeah - I really appreciate the feedback, and anyone else reading should definitely feel free to add their two cents. I'm looking for a way to do something sooner rather than later, but the more caveats we have with the generic connector the more it starts to domino into "later" rather than "sooner"

I'm afraid the fix is included in 9.x. As part of keeping our cost and prices reasonable, we are rarely able to provide fixes to back-level versions.
-
I would suggest one minute for polling and 2 or 3 minutes on statistics and 15 min for Volumes

I can't provide a list here, but you can sign up for the beta. I can provide more detail in the beta forum after you've signed the beta agreement.

Updated: Installed new STM update 5.1.2. And a day later the unmanaged host, vanished. Even had Tech support on the line. Surprised...

It deactivates the license; therefore, when you install on the new server, that license is available. Previously, you would have had to call SolarWinds Customer Service to reset that license.
-
It seems to work if I add the vendor specific wireless controller poller programmatically. So I guess, my next question would be, how do I get the list of Pollers in SolarWinds?

Mav, See here (my original feature request) and related request here. Yes, in the report we would only want to see containers. And, would like the ability to click on the container and you are hyperlinked to the specific Managed Subnet page.

I don't mean to speak for DirtySouth here but would it not be possible to provide the option for us to specify the color for each event type through the web console? At the very least, allow the choice of CSS file to apply much like the Color Scheme option in the web console. Sure, it's possible. As the developers tell me…

Based on this article: stackoverflow.com/.../vb-using-wmi-get-logged-in-users Make an APM monitor using Windows Script Monitor and paste the code below in. As the argument you could use ${IP} to apply to the server the test is placed on, otherwise the argument is the target server to run on (based on your credentials).…

the alert is an advanced alert, I've also noticed that the device doesn't have an "Event" of down, but it does state it has 100% packet loss for one poll which is when the alert was triggered. thanks Dave

hi swilliams, We had a similar issue and changing interfaces helped remove the problem (although not a fix). The receive discards is a difficult one to troubleshoot, can be a lot of different things... faulty cabling, interface or NIC. Once resolved the throughput increased - so its worth investing time.

Hear Hear - Definately needed to be supported!

Here is the screenshot - no prompt. I even turned all services off and it didn't prompt. Here is the prompt I get with opening the System Manager.

This used to happen to me and it was always because some services crashed in NPM. And it kept happening regularly. I opened a ticket and it ended up being caused by some kind of corruption that was easily fixed. Go check your services and the server.

NTA does capture the ToS field. If you're not seeing it, you can go to Admin > Manage Views and add the ToS resources to your views.
-
You may also try email>outgoing email then check 'Include Recipient Section'. Maybe with that it will list recipients that you can them remove from the email?

Glad I could help, Michael!

Delete all the view type you edited which sounds like Node Details

hi Reddy I woudl love SW to put a forum on here specifcially based around microsoft reporting services... i am doing exactly the same stuff right now, trying to mine out data for interface utilisation and errors, and create auto dashboards that email out via subscription from the reports portal...

thanks madhavan. I'm pretty new at this. I'm not sure i'm doing this correctly. But this is what i did and i got the above error.
-
ok this told me what I wanted to hear. You want to know as soon as they start building up. If you trigger based on the last hour this will give you the alert you want. so set your trigger for >100 errors in last hour and i am pretty sure you will get the results you want. Becasue this will trigger the moment that the count…

Hello, Andy - In addition to the slow graphing, we have issues with high CPU utilization with NetFlow.exe using 75-90%. Our server is a quad dual-core processor box, 10GB RAM and Tech Support said it is fine. They gave what sounds like the same advice as Debbi received regarding SQL storage write access bottlenecks - check…

Yes. It's available for VoIP and NTA, but you should talk to your Sales rep about whether you need it for each module.
-
Disregard I got it to work. Had the wrong UniqueName. Thanks.

That's right. Device Manager is the SMI-S provider so without it, you won't get much of anything.

Very top right hand corner - looks like this:
