Thanks Matt I am now looking forward to migrating to NCM version 7 Cheers James

I've had a ticket open since the 2nd. The hotfix broke my maps and I haven't heard anything back on how to fix my broken maps.

I like the one where we build the query. But how do we make SolarWinds Alert from that?
-
Definitely look at your apache config for the log format, that's probably what we'll have to tweak to make it work.

OK, so that's another point for the load times between actions. One thing we've talked about is forcing less page loads when doing different actions. That will help. We're looking at the speed of List Resources. That will also help for some of the cases you all have described. We're looking at overall page load speed as…

Hi, I've managed to "fix" it but now I just need someone to explain why its the way it is and if I'm losing out now. I used WMI Explorer which showed loads of stats but then this morning I noticed its not Formatted data but Raw Data. When I changed the SQL string from the Perf one to the Raw one APM is now showing data.…

I'm actually on vacation, but I wanted to repeat what Casey and Tim have said: we hear you. What I hear is that there are some cases where the web UI is slow or more awkward than System Manager. Some in this thread are suggesting that the answer is to keep System Manager. That would be one solution, but it's a very costly…

Mark... where is the disconnect? Is this really possible or not (ticket 54521). Oh and support might want to use spell/grammar check :-^ "Thank you for contacting Solarwinds Support. This is a known issue that is out with with our Developemnt team, which is a feature that they are working on to have implemented in the…
-
We use ROUND() to temporarily get around the issue, but given the fact it can happen to any query that uses numbers (and we have a LOT) we really don't want to go around manually changing each one just because something is broken in SolarWinds. It wasn't like this prior to our upgrade, so presumably it was something…

Hi. I know this is an old thread, but the code works - kind of. Anyone notice that the CPU information can be a bit hit and miss. For example, a VM with 2 vCPUs will show as having 3 via this report and 2 via the "Nodes Details" Any ideas?
-
We'll fix this automatically in the next release, but in the meantime, just stop IIS and delete c:\ Solarwinds_Logging to resolve the issue. It's not a file you need except for troubleshooting anyway.
-
As ASL-support noted above, the resource has never supported ASP.
-
We have exactly the same problem. Would be good for us to know this answer ASAP too! chrissmail, please open a Support ticket. Having data from multiple customers often helps solve the problem faster.
-
Yep. We hear you.

Hi madhavan, Okay, I'm confused. I'm already adding Nodes via the REST SDK/API via /SolarWinds/InformationService/v3/Json/Create/Orion.Nodes. In fact, here's what I'm doing currently: - Create a new Node - Update two Custom Properties/fields that we've added to our Orion.Nodes records.…

i speak rubbish.... i would end up with total packets over the whole time period (say a day) but an average of packet errors in last hour over the same period, where i actualyl need the count of those averages... i think....

Understood, just saying. I know they highly discourage direct updates to the back-end database / tables so I was surprised to see that.

Thank you!

I read a few TechNet articles on this question (blank caller name) and came up with a few things that won't have the name in there: * A device not joined to the domain but triggers a domain lockout (say a workstation that's in a workgroup but logging on to domain resources like file shares by manually typing in…

If so, are there any plans to come out with hot standby versions of the Orion add-in modules? We intend to provide failover for modules at some point in the future.
-
It can never do any NTA, APM, or wireless polling. Correct? Correct.
-
Ok. I hope it will be implemented in the next release because imo is an important feature. Bye.
-
Are we getting close to having this counter option included in a future release? Thanks, Rick
-
Thanks for getting this going. All of our SLAs are based on a percentage count of errors. Having the percent count lets us know at a glance if SLA is being met. I don't know what exactly is included in the packet counts and if it includes the errors /discards. Rick On Mon, Oct 27, 2014 at 10:18 AM, cobrien <

32 bit counters that wrap don't cause me problems.

Sometimes it worth to take a look at the Orion Admin guide (page 247 - Using Orion Advanced Alerts) instead spending 40+ hours by figuring it out by himself with the lack of lust to understand the product. I'd wonder if even somebody wouldn't be able to set up the alert after reading it. If you aren't, then the Orion is…

Yes, showing deleted VMs is bug we discovered after we shipped, and it'll be fixed in SP1. Hiding a subset of VMs is an interesting feature request that we'll consider for a future release.
-
Yes in report writer as a sql query. No errors, just no results either. The "sections" (node name, unmanged from etc) come up at the top but no data under it.

I submitted a ticket with support prior to leaving on vacation. Here's their reply, which confirms most of the answers already given. Thanks again to everyone that helped. -------------------------------------- Hi John, Thanks for Contacting Solarwinds Technical Support For interface we look at:…
