Ah. I get it. I'll see what we can do.

I haven't had any problems with them either. In fact contacted them last Friday and they told me that they post updated MIB files on a weekly basis. If they are submitted by Friday an updated MIB would be available that following Monday. Much improvement from when i remember having to wait a couple weeks.

Ok thanks Steve. We do have a case open with Microsoft, so I will see if they come back with anything. At this time I am going to uninstall the particular update and see if I can get it running for the short term. Since I really dont think I have to have 64 bit on this particular server I have been talking with our Windows…

Weird. I'll check with our internal team and see what they think, too,.

Mars, We can't publish a calendar of exactly when each release will ship because development schedules are subject to change. I can tell you that we ship most modules 2 or 3 times a year. We are trying to ship Orion twice a year. To give you a concrete example: Look at NetFlow Traffic Analyzer: v1.0 - Dec 06 v2.0 - April…

So we've ruled out the obvious. You may need to open a Support ticket so that we can look at diagnostics and try to replicate?

We had a bit more discussion about this after Denny appears to have gone back to jury duty. It looks like in this case, we limit the max port number to 32767(signed 16 bit instead of unsigned). If you can get the device to use a port number below that, you should be fine.

On those 2 pollers I still see the AlertEngine Service installed and running after the patch was applied. Should I uninstall that service? Or disable it? Not sure why that is, but you can just go ahead and disable them. No need to uninstall.
-
We have a WMI troubleshooting guide here: www.solarwinds.com/.../APMWMITroubleshooting.pdf
-
Since we drilled down into the Alerts themselves and everything looks clean, I would say yes. If rschroeder's idea doesn't pan out, maybe look into setting up a dependency.
-
We'll give it a second look for the next release - "Adama", which is what follows 3.0, which was "Starbuck".

Be aware when you do this that when you search it in nDepth it will all be "typed" with that connector, so you just need to know what you're looking for. I usually use one that I DON'T already have so I can easily find the messages from it. There's no secret decoder ring/map of connectors and how/what they are designed to…

"Server application software under the Per Core license model is licensed one of two ways: by virtual core or by physical core. VMs running Standard editions are licensed by virtual core only. VMs running Enterprise editions are licensed by virtual core or by physical core. In the case of virtual core licensing, each…

Ok, thanks Brandon.

Ah. Got it.

They're not in 9.6, but I'd like it soon after. Dependencies are about status, so what are you looking for with NCM?
-
Yea for some reason it wasn't allowing me to browse and select the cmd to insert, it was just running it automatically, I got it input and should be good to go. Going to verify in the morning. Thanks for the help!

Hey Lukas, Thanks for the prompt reply. When I run the script against a 2010 CAS server using the credentials of an Exchange administrator it is successful: Testing on node CAS-1.domain.co.uk: finished successfully with 'Available' status Login succeeded PowerShell Execute Result: ================================ Output:…

knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/.../Upgrade paths for SolarWinds Orion product modules and standalone productsSolarWinds UDT, though it does not require Orion NPM, integrates with Orion NPM 10.1 and above. I realize that this thread is a bit dated and see that UDT 1.0 is compatible with NPM 10.1 but I would like to know if…

When calling / EXEC'ing the */v3/Json/Invoke/Cirrus.ConfigArchive/Execute verb, do I need to make this call against the NCM server, or is the regular old 'call against the Orion server (NPM)' ok? I ask because I make the call as follows, then get a 500 (Internal Server Error). And of course that's ALL the info I get, so I…

Hello! Tell me what the process is, please. Thank you!

Cool... I'm seeing 99.13267% for my poller and I have 5000 elements. What does everyone else get?
-
Any idea when Orion 9 will be coming out? I'm having the same problem with memory and CPU utilization with our F5 devices.

One of the things we are working on is for the tree area to automatically scroll based on your mouse cursor. This ability would be great Peter! In lieu of the mousewheel workaround, we found the the Page Up / Page Down keys work with IE7 while dragging. how often would you expect to use multiple selection + drag & drop…

Wasn't trying to call you out or anything . I guess I would be interested to see some white papers around Solarwinds not recommending a SAN deployment.

Matthew Thank you so much for this. I am a Rookie on Solarwinds and am tasked with it due to everyone else not wanting to. I will look into the Truncate formula that is in the transform data Poller right? And then just Trunkcate("........") {dpsRTUTemp} something like that? To the OP sorry about Hijaking the post.

Figured it out... There is a fundamental difference between "Windows Update" and "Microsoft Update"... Understand the difference, understand the problem. In short: Windows update only patches the OS Microsoft Update patches the OS AND other MS products Without having MS Update enabled, it will NOT show the app (office)…
