The online pdf matches what r0berth1 posted above, on page 10, as does the online help under Requirements. So they're both up to date.
-
Thank you. I see you have a support representative working on the case.
-
Okay, we'll look into it. Thanks!
-
neilmborilla, please get me the case # and we'll look into the status of this.
-
Since this is a thread from last year, your best bet is to open a ticket, and reference this thread.
-
Craig, do you have a case # for this? I'll see about getting a status for you.
-
Thanks for the follow-up, Jason! It's very helpful to us to hear that. We're watching this thread closely. Everyone's opinions are valuable to us, and all suggestions are being noted.
-
emorys, branfarm, and Lane, have you opened tickets on this issue?
-
I think a support ticket would be your best bet on this, since this thread is rather old.
-
Actually, it doesn't exist. We don't document the database tables in customer documentation, for several reasons: One, public documentation implies SolarWinds support of whatever you might do based on that documentation. Even if we said "at your own risk," there is still that "SolarWinds put it out there for us to use, so…

Yes, this should work, except that you won't be using a "new" database server. You'll be making the backup and storing it, upgrading SQL to 2005, and then picking up the "restore" instructions from there as if you were migrating to the 2005 server.
-
You need to be on NCM 5.1.1 at a minimum. NPM 9.5 is not compatible with NCM 5.0.1. NCM 5.5 would be even better, because then you can take full advantage of the improved integration. You'll also need to have SQL 2005 SP2 (2005.90.3042) or later, including SQL Express.
-
Correct.

First, thanks for giving SolarWinds a try! We hope it goes well for you! Second, if you run into any issues during your evaluation, in addition to posting on Thwack you can also open a support ticket and enter the Evaluation verson of your software in the SolarWinds Application field. Someone will get back to you soon to…

Looks like it's time to get support involved to help you get everything straightened out. Reference this thread in the ticket, please.
-
Actually, we are already working on a FAQ for Thwack. Your suggestion is noted!

I just have a SL 250 license to get started and I am only monitoring my uplink ports and server ports to get by. I really like Orion and want to go all out and monitor every port. Is there a way to find out how many ports that would be? jkaftan, did this thread give you the information you need to answer your question?
-
The first half of this year.
-
Version 9.0.
-
The tech is out today, but I'll have someone look at it and get back to you.
-
Are there any release notes or other documentation showing the differences between 3.0 and 3.1? Check out the Support page, and Release Notes - NetFlow Traffic Analyzer under Orion NPM Modules.
-
I recommend you open a support ticket for this, and reference this thread.
-
Urvashi, Please open a support ticket, and select the Eval version of your software in the Solarwinds Application field. Someone will get back to you soon to help you work with the MIBs.
-
If it is licensed by the largest number of the three object types, in NoeO's case, the licensed should be 1874, which is the number of Volumes.Hope I understand it well, under this calculation method, he/she is supposed not over the limit 2000, is that right? That is correct. Using the calculator on the page I linked to…
-
SP2 is now available here.
-
I suggest you open a support ticket and reference this thread.
-
If I could make a suggestion as well...this type of info is what I look for in release notes yet I believe it was not mentioned. Considering that you can't even upgrade without implementing SQL CLR it seems like a no brainer. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place for particular upgrade documentation. Your suggestion is…

Vic, according to the case history it looks like the technician sent you an e-mail on Tuesday, and a follow-up yesterday. Please check your spam or junk mail catchers, since e-mails from our ticket system sometimes get flagged that way. If there's nothing there, and it wasn't sent to someone else in the company by…

Hi Oliver, Would you please be willing to provide us with some discovery logging? Please do the following: 1. Open LANsurveyor then select Tools>Options>Logging 2. Check all logging options 3. Run a discovery as you've described above 4. Send the resulting log file directly to me: michael.swan { at } solarwinds {dot} com.…

Glad you got it sorted out! For others who are following this thread, be sure to take note of page 8 of the Quick Start Guide, where it details what SQL versions are supported, as well as other requirements.
