Josh, You will be missed dearly. SolarWinds won't ever be the same again without you around - the Head Geek ! We'll miss your great stories, valued input in Geek Speek and overall presence at SolarWinds. I hope to see you again sometime, especially, maybe, at SolarWinds again in the future. Thanks for all the hard work and…

Cisco firmware versions currently available do not contain an OID to monitor IS-IS related events. You need to feature request this @ Cisco
-
An FoE 101 video covering everything from initial preparation, requirements, deployment, known issues and tests would be great.
-
This is now possible in 2024.1, though not for table pollers. @"solarwinds_worldwide_llc" should change the status to implemented.
-
Yeah that is going to be tough, making IS-IS data part of MIB-II standardization. At least you have the ability to poll these OIDs on your equipment... and change Node status (NPM vNEXT) based on that. The rest of us are stuck using SNMP Traps with Cisco equipment

Hi there, Try loading the page in another browser. The hardware monitor is only for Windows machines, 32 & 64 bit.
-
That was quick. Great work! Thank you!
-
Add Arista, Extreme Networks, Mellanox please.
-
Come Ooooooooooon! BUMP
-
Gotcha, thanks for confirming
-
@"Keshav.Kumar" has Patch Manager 2024.4.1 been pulled? I see it listed as the latest version in the customer portal but there is no download link for it or release notes.

Still not possible in NCM 7.7

Hi, Do you want to display percent utilization or Bit/s? It is unclear in your screenshot whether you're displaying the one or the other. Also, if you edit the interface speed for the WAN links in Orion to a custom speed like 100, then the charts will adapt to the 100 mbit instead of 1000 mbit. This results in your bps…

Congrats to all MVPs!
-
Thanks, that worked nicely!

I'd like to give an example where security through obscurity - nowadays - helps secure the node/network. A non-obscure system: Port OUI default Cisco, SSH daemon running on default port 22. Operative user account is default admin. Attacker fingerprints and port scans the node, finds port 22 open, launches SSH tools and…

Hi Peter, We've been patiently waiting since October 2013 for a solution, once and for all and out of the box, to the false Node status that UDT creates. v1.0.1 v2.0 No fix v2.5 No fix v3.0 No fix v3.0.1 No fix v3.0.2 No fix v3.1.0 No fix v3.2.0 No fix The issue, in case it has been lost, is that UDT by default in either a…

Excellent session guys!I especially liked the sneak peek of what you guys are working on, using "Magic" technology. Can't wait!
-
Hi there, Great topic. I just want to point out, or add rather, that true end to end monitoring includes monitoring the object between the monitor and the chair. Now if the object is dumb and does not include an API then that object needs to be replaced.
-
Equally important is REMOVING the reservation from multiple DHCP servers simultaneously!!!

Still not possible in NCM 7.9
-
I'm actually interested in testing every single bit that can be tested. I'm trying to help in avoiding the need for future hotfixes.

We got Hardware Health details working for Aruba switches running WC 16.x while testing NPM 12.5 RC2.
-
Hi, How far along are we with this?
-
Hardware Health works with our 800 and 3200 series PA's running 9.0.x in Orion Platform 2019.4 On a side note, I find it disappointing that the Palo Alto icon/logo works in the Manage Nodes page and everywhere else, except in the Hardware Details resource.
-
8 releases later. Still not possible in NCM 2019.4 Wonder if this feature will ever be brought back. It sure would be nice to have some official feedback from swi on this! jreves ?
-
Hi jblankjblank, Yes, that is exactly what I am referring to. Thanks.
-
Hi there, Just wanted to chip in by describing how we achieve this. For multiple sites, local and remote, we use Android phones running an SMS gateway app which interfaces with internal systems. Many apps exist that can do this and much more, such as two way comms, but for us it is used as a last resort comm device to send…

How do you automatically add the NPM node to NCM, though?

Sorry, don't mean to rain on your parade, but a resource works exactly the same as a report would. Only difference is it's in a precompiled box. A report for this is doable and should only have to be done once. Share it and spread the joy. A ?better? FR would be to have searchable reports. That would be nifty! Then again,…
