Hi Chris, Digging this bookmarked thread up as i seem to have found an issue after upgrading/migrating to NCM 7.3.x It seems like the templates that were modified to include VLAN have all been reverted to stock. Can you confirm this please? [22-09-2014 21:22:27] <-- Show ${VLAN} [22-09-2014 21:22:27] Process Line = <>…

Does this setting also apply to hotfixes? I ask because I have the same options marked but never get hotfix notifications.

2024.1 and almost 10 years since the original FR. Still not possible.

I've met a lot of managers in the past few years that decided to go full cloud, both private or public, because they just didn't have a grasp on how to run their team(s) or didn't have faith and would rather have others do IT the "right" way, than go through a long and difficult process of training in house personnel,…

There might be some logistical issues involved in this plan but the maintenance trips would be highly enjoyable. Here's what I'd do, in short: - Build a lunar base on the moon (failover site) - Build and deploy 8 satellites equipped with low range laser cannons, for private LAN/WAN - Buy a mountain located at least 230…

Hi Praveen, Just wanted to give you a heads up, in case you didn't hear yet. Intel and Micron have created the next generation storage medium called 3D XPoint. 3D XPoint is a completely new type of architecture which is non-volatile and supersedes SSD and even NVME flash based storage. 3D XPoint is 1000 time faster than…

3.2.1 RC was tested OK. We need all the fixes plus improvements in the final GA for the target mission critical systems. Thanks.

Hi Jiri, Could you please provide an test plan for NCM so that we can go through all the official test procedures and our own, then return with feedback?

Check the Application logs after attempting to start the service. It will have the error details.

If you don't have an active NetFlow (NTA) license then the service will stop. This is normal and should therefore be ignored.

AMD EPYC F series CPUs have massive amounts of cache and high base clock speed. Perfect for SQL.

Try moving the diagnostics file to your My Documents folder first, before uploading.

I may be mistaken by memory, but you should be able to get it to work, if you enabled and configured sflow instead.
-
Windows can't generate flow data. You will need to configure flow on the switches that the Windows hosts are connected to, and direct the flow to your SolarWinds server on UDP 2055. https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/nta/content/nta-nta-flow-requirements-sw145.htm

The guest status is VMware specific. You will need to navigate to your vSphere host or vCenter server for additional details concerning the Critical guest status.

If the individual account has previously been a member of an AD group but has since been moved out of the group, then the individual account is still present in the database and needs to be deleted manually. You will not be able to add that account as an individual account unless it is deleted first. Take a backup of your…

You should be able to pull most of these details in by monitoring your (newer) iDRACs using SNMP.
-
If you are being looped back to the same node details page then the root cause is likely to be virtual machine related. Have a look at the Virtual Machine Details widget in your Node Details view. The guest status is probably Warning or Critical.
-
You could build a report that disaplays all discovered interfaces on nodes monitored and not yet imported. However that would require scanning the network first. Another approach would be to use the UDT module to inventory all your existing nodes, and get Interface (port) details such as description, type, mac, vlan etc.…

It usually takes some time to populate the initial data. If, however, you don't see anything updated after an hour then I suggest you try changing the account to full priv and try again, before proceeding with additional troubleshooting. We are using Pilot and CoPilot instances, both working fine. No additional polling…

You should be able to ignore this and proceed with running configuration wizard. Just for the sake of documentation, what version and type of SQL are you connecting to? You can check this by executing SELECT @@VERSION

Hi there, Create a user in ECIQ with monitoring/read only access, then: add: api.extremecloudiq.com as a Node with Polling Method set to Orchestrators API: ExtremeCloud IQ Devices. Test your monitoring/read only access credential then add the Node. Status (api.extremecloudiq.com) and Statistics (AP's, SSID's, Channels,…

It could be many things. First thing to check, though, is if you have an AppInsight for SQL application monitor assigned to that servere. If so, then edit the Application Monitor and check whether preferred polling method is set to agent or agentless. Also, unless you are authenticating with SQL (through the agent) using a…
