Hi Vinay, Thanks for the swift reply. I hope this doesn't come off the wrong way, I really do appreciate your help, but what I really want is to avoid micromanagement of these type of issues when they occur on our systems, which is rather frequent. I shouldn't be concentrating on fixing this, endlessly, on every single…

Thanks for the reply. Any timeframe on when we can expect to have a fix for this?

Hi Craig, Thanks for the query. I have tested it and it works as explained. Ultimately, what I'm after is a query that will add nodes to the NCM_NodePorperties table because NCM currently can't do this automatically. It would be a SQL job that runs once a day. If a Node who's vendor = Cisco, and is not in the…

Hi aLTeReGo Licenses aren't an issue, for us at least. We have an abundance of them. The issue here lies more in the process. Maybe if you explained why this high impact measure has been implemented, then I'd better understand why SolarWinds has made it super difficult for us to test functionality.

Hi Bedrich, Thanks for the followup.

1) Please make it a feature request for the next version release, as i see this as a very valuable feature :) 2) I can't seem to recreate the scenario when it didn't work. It is working now, though :) 3) Solved. I needed to populate the MAC address table on a couple switches. 4) Ah! my fault... but why the change? It…

Did it survive an upgrade?

Nope. No luck.

Thanks janene16 but I need to fix this issue, not avoid it.
-
Hi Zack, How do i copy the query without including the line numbers?
-
I don't think that is fair to say. Just being able to execute a program or script gives you virtually unlimited amounts and types of trigger actions.
-
Ran into this issue as well. Just want to add that you need to restart services on the Additional Web Server as well if in use.

Hi, No, pretty sure no one other than myself was working on Orion at the time. Overal the experience has been pretty good since the install. Just thought you should know about this possible issue.
-
Works great. Thanks!
-
Hi Scott, Thank you. It was tested and it works. This is exactly what i needed.

Actually, you CAN both save and copy the chart. Right click blank space within resource ~ Save and select format instead of svg. Right click blank space within resource ~ Copy then paste it anywhere (this is as close to export as it gets. I agree with you through, it would be nice if you could export the whole chart,…

Hi Jay, This seems to be working good apart from including our kvm's and stuff that use Net-SNMP. That i can fix. There is an issue i've spotted and that is VMs that are down are added to the report. I take it that's because a VM has to be pingable to become up and before that happens, Orion VIM won't get the status via…

Hi Adam, Thank you for this SWQL query. Could you please share the same query where only alerts belonging to nodes with a specific Custom Property get displayed?

Hi Jon, Once WMI collection has been configured, is there a way to see that it is working? Also, how do you build a view to see misalignment? Berst regards, Deltona

Hi aLTeReGo Thanks for the swift reply. There's something I am missing here for sure, so I hope you can explain it further for me. This is what I have done to test the functionality: I've created a static group that includes some nodes that are Up and confirmed that it works as it should. I then create a manual dependency…

Hi Michal, Have you guys looked into the possibility of forwarding the source ip for this alert?
-
Hi Amit, Could you please provide a revised query that includes the ability to filter by Custom Property?
-
Hi nlowndes This turned out to be impossible in Orion, whether using field based or custom SQL reports. The issue is that percent loss and average response do not correlate cleanly in the reports due to the summarization that occurs every 7 days, 30 days etc. However, with help from the devs I've managed to get something…

Hi, Thank you, this is exactly what i needed. The idea behind this is to deploy an agent on several VMs and only have the disk perf module active. By doing so you get the necessary info and the agent will only use a tiny amount of system memory.

Hi ding, Thanks for the swift reply. I've looked at the roadmap page and deduced that support for Windows Server 2016 referred to the platform OS that Orion IPAM can be installed on. I've tried to monitor DHCP on a Windows Server 2016 but get access denied error. The domain account used has the same required privileges as…

Guys, Orion.VirtualMachine no longer exists. Has anyone figured out a way to report on HardwareType(s) currently monitored ?

Hi Radeem, Is there any way to get this in a report format instead? IP SLA Operation | Source Name | Operation Availability
