Can you post the error you are getting? Sure, it was: Unhandled Exception: System.OverflowException: Failed to convert parameter value from a UInt64 to a Int64. ---> System.OverflowException: Value was either too large or too small for an Int64. I just got off the phone with tech support and they had a hotfix for it and…

Finally I have got to a point I think I'm am happy with or can live with :). I have created a content exchange if you are interested in my work . So as ecklerwr1 suggested, I created a base map in visio and saved it as a jpg. I then imported that as a background in Network Atlas on my map. I then placed node objects in the…

Imported IPs or networks default to automatic scanning disabled. We had several dormant or networks no longer in use but we wanted to keep all the information from the last scan as a reference. After importing into IPAM, it started scanning these and since they were not reachable anymore it wiped out all the contents from…

I'm looking for a solution to this as well. I'm running 11.5.2. I have had issues with this in the past of pass through authentication not working. Tech support had told me before to run config wizzard and choose just website and enable auto log on. That fixed it once. I also had to put our url in the IE intranet zone…

SRM goes on your Orion NPM server.

If you right click a node in the system manager and select Trace Route are the results different than if you tracert to the same ip address from the DOS prompt? Right now they are the same. I haven't checked when the primary link has been down.

Until SW can get this feature added, you can use cacti to do just this. I have one graph setup that shows number of remote users from two different devices. Then I have another graph setup that shows Data Center temps being reported from 7 different weathergoose devices. It is basically just MRTG/RRD type graphs.

Looking for a solution to monitoring a webserver with one IP that uses hostheaders and I haven't found one yet. Can this be done yet? I'm not sure if I follow the above post work around. Thanks

Just wanted to post that anyone else looking to do this, asl-support was able to get it working. Thanks

That worked, thanks.

Sounds about right. Say look back on a week or month etc. I want to see where the VM "testvm" was over that period on a cluster of hosts. Mon-Wed it was on "xxhost" then it was moved to "yyhost" type of report.

Brandon, Just applied SP2 and am very disappointed in the limited fixes it delivered. It did not fix the sorting of the ip addresses in the IP Networks tree (Beef #1). We manage 9 Class B networks broken down in all sorts of variable bit masks from 19 bit to 30-bit and it is very frustrating to follow the tree structure…

Ok I am making progress. I would like my mouse overs to look like and provide the same info as it does when you do a mouse over on a node and a interface from the main page for example. That code has to be somewhere I would think.

If multiple people are having this issue and chalk me up as another. Any reason you can't post what to do since you will email what to do?

Ok well sorry this kinda got dropped off my plate but now I'm back looking at it again. So I don't find the TCP Port Monitor. I'm not finding any APM template for TCP Port anything. I see HTTPS monitor and that is it. Is this still out there, renamed or something else I should use? I assigned the Log Parser template, but…

I am not sure if this step was suppose to be verbatim but didn't work for me: 5. Enter NET STOP SolarWinds IPAM Information Service. I used: net stop swipaminformationservice After figuring that out, the import failed for me so I will be contacting support on it.

Yeah I ended up opening a ticket and that is what we did. First off it seems the Real-time event log viewer, service control manager etc are permission based in the SAM settings. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't see those. I figured since I was an admin that I would see all features. From that I found an article saying…

I just went through this. I had NPM & SAM on the same server with the STM integration module as STM was on its own server. I removed/uninstalled the STM module from my Orion NPM server. Then installed SRM. During the process it asks you if you want to link STM to it. This is so you can share licenses if you will have the…

Support informed me that a new MIB update was posted on 7/20/07 and includes the new Leibert ones I submitted.

When you confirmed this via ping and traceroute, were you on the NPM poller? And is the NPM poller on the same subnet? I'm curious if the route BACK to the NPM is seen from the other side. That will cause a down issue as well. We only have one NPM server and it is the poller. I was doing my ping tests from it and they…

Ah, sometimes the simplest things are too hard to see.

Change the '.' to a '/' isn't the only change to make. It's also necessary to correct the 'netprefmon' to 'netperfmon'. Another solution, if you're not comfortable heading into the DB is to remove the resource from the view and re-add it. Ahhh, totally missed that. Now my report resource shows up on my homepage as it used…

This might get you close to what you want. So once you have drilled down to the graph you want on the interface you are looking for, click on the Top 10 Endpoints Title so it opens up in a window of its own. This should be showing the Top 10 Endpoints that that interface sees at this point. Copy that URL. Now add a Custom…

Do you get alerts when one member of the stack goes down? We don't with our current setup. I would think if you check the Stackport(s) in List Resources, that you would get an alert when one goes down. I am just guessing that these are the ports on back. I also see a StackSub-St-1, but we don't have those checked. I don't…

BakerD, We do keep a history of events within IPAM. You can see the last XX events from the IPAM Summary Home page or you can use Report Writer to get a larger set or filter down event history. Too complicated to me. If I'm looking at an IP, it would be great to be able to see right there say the last 5 changes/edits. If…

hhmm, I checked my fw-wa-1020 and id-wa-2020 since they are both on ver 6. The fw-wa-1020 passed, but the id-wa-2020 failed.

I'm still not having any luck. All our remote offices are setup the same, PCs to switch to lan0_0 on the riverbed then wan0_0 on the riverbed to router. By following this document "> I get negative %. The 2nd one in my report below is setup as described in the linked document. I have tried arranging/assigning different…
