Yes I think so, but I can't open that link. Says restricted but the title looks right and I was working on a revision 4 so I think that was it.

I have tried it on several reports to put a time frame on show the same results. Even created one from scratch following the steps from the above article. They will work in report writer but if you try and view it from the web you get no activity to report error. I think it has something to do with the time formatting as…

Ah. Check out the Alert Manager utility that ships with Orion. It will let you customize the alert for the High Subnet Usage Monitoring. You can filter based on subnet or raise/lower the utilization threshold. Hope this helps. Chris I appreciate your help and suggestions so far, but I think you are missing what I'm looking…

The integration that's on our site works fine. I have it operational on our internal Orion here. Are you running 8.1.0? If yes, did you have it integrated before you upgraded to 8.1.0? I was not using it before I upgraded to 8.1.0. Both the instructions on your site and Plixers are the exact same. I also have NTA…

Yes, sorry I could have been more specific. Go to Manage subnets & IP tab. Then click on a group that has networks listed under it. On the right hand side the Network View tab is selected by default. This is where I am talking about. Columns for "Network View" and "IP Address View" are remembered for your account. You…

That's a pretty cool add-on! (I wish I had the knowledge to make more use of it). Here's a sample output of the text below a map, and the corresponding Firebug output: See the broken images? Here's the relevant code that I think is breaking Firefox: This line does not work: <td class="Property"><image…

Sorry took so long to answer but nope help on either of those. On your 1st option it just compares two dates. On the 2nd option I have to still click to advance the date/day forward or backward to see what host it was on. I guess I'm looking more for a graph or report that shows in one window/screen that all hosts and…

I think we are getting close :). I put in a few variables ${InBps} and ${OutBps}, but interfaces it doesn't show anything I add. I even tried the two you listed and no luck. When I mouse over the link line it just pops up and says Network Link in the green bar and under that in the white box says Serial1/0 -…

Yes it is listening on that port. TCP0.0.0.0:7100 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP0.0.0.0:7180 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP0.0.0.0:7181 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP0.0.0.0:7191 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING

Is there a way to create an alert and email from this template when an account gets locked? I have the template applied and can see the log viewer in solarwinds showing the event 4740 of an account getting locked. Instead of having to use the method of forwarding an event trap and all that, since this already has the info…

Do you know where I can pickup 9.1? I don't see it listed in the Customer Portal. There is a link in this thread which is a sticky at the top of this forum.

Ok, so now I got it to the point where it is emailing me, but I just get the login page. For some reason it is not passing the credentials. EDIT: DAG!, finally got it working again. I had some security updates to install so I did that and rebooted. Still no luck. I unchecked Send Orion User/Pass in URL and it started…

Just stumbled on to this thread. We have some 3850s in a closet and have been yellow since last year when installed. I thought it was right just because it gets hot in there. Changed SW to Cisco-envmon-mib and went from yellow to green. Switch1 Temp 2 looks like it lines up with the Hotspot Temp value of 40C. Running…

Thanks Mark! So basically the best thing to do would be to download the software when it becomes available & store it somewhere safe, in case you need it at a later date. -=Cheers=- I have all the way back to V7 of NPM dated 3/2/04 and V5.2 of EE dated from around 2002. ;) I just have a habit of keeping older versions of…

Not sure how to remove it, but you can change it and it would just pull up an error page. I believe this is new to 8.1.0. Go to Admin --> Orion Settings and look for Help Server. Put in something like http://127.0.0.1

Here's what I have in the PIX. snmp-server host inside 192.168.1.1 snmp-server host inside 192.168.2.2 snmp-server location 1 snmp-server contact 2 snmp-server community STRING no snmp-server enable traps It doesn't like the commands you provided. I've also tried to make it v1 and v2 to no avail. Ping is the only thing…

Still having this issue, anyone have any ideas/thoughts? Thanks

I use Firefox, too, and for pages that give me troubles, I use the IE Tab extension for Firefox. It lets Firefox render the page with the IE engine. As an end user, it still feels like Firefox. It solves a lot of quirks of this type. addons.mozilla.org/.../1419 Yes, that is a great add-on and especially if you use OWA.

I'm having the same problem with a resource on my home page that pulls in a report. I get the same error of report.ascx is not found for my resource. I had two entries in my DB resource table that showed orion.netprefmon and I change the "." for a "/" and it didn't work for me. I do have my website installed on a different…

Anyone have an answer on this yet? I created a group. I then created a subnet and unchecked Add IPs. Then I went to IP Range - Add, put in a starting and ending IP but the Save is still greyed out. I can however create a subnet and have it add IPs. Then I can go in, select a group of IPs and do an IP Range - Delete. Kinda…

Add us to the list. We currently have the wireless module but will be converting 60 APs in 08. I guess it looks like we wont renew that module if it will be useless. Oh and we also have a WLSE.

They are there, just don't seem to be getting seen and voted on as I'm sure a lot more would like to see this

Hitting search is fine, except if you are looking for something related to a specific version. Now that there are posts for V6 7, 8 & 9 in the forums, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find info relevant to the version you are using. Many posts do not specify what version the user is running, hence the request for…

This was happening to me before the upgrade, I was just hoping the upgrade would fix it but it didn't. Don't make me call support. :)

I was just searching for NIC monitoring software for a PC and most of it out there is bandwidth monitoring for home users. I think what would be nice is a portable network util that you could carry around on a USB key. Then you could run it and in real time see/capture NIC data and stats. Tools like mentioned above would…

I'm not sure I follow. The above are not examples but my actual. Or maybe you meant am I trying to exclude those lines, then yes but as you can see it shows red and is not working. Thanks

A History field that keeps say the last 5 IP/DNS matches or have it user setable to maybe days/weeks to keep the history. This would be good for those subnets like DHCP ranges that are scanned often. I can see where someone might need to see who had an IP a few hours or days ago or even last week, but if a scan has already…

Any new news on this yet? I would like the option after drilling down to say a certain graph and getting the info, timeline etc setup to save as PDF and/or email as PDF. Also being able to use report scheduler to create in PDF would be nice. I have a few reports that no matter what I do, the formatting just doesn't look…

Well I'm not sure what is different, but in order to make mine +%, my remote offices pre interfaces are the wan0_0 and my HQ is lan0_0. So I don't understand how you guys are getting this to work with your pre interfaces being lan0_0. Our units sit inline, not sure if that would make a difference.
