  • Hi NPM 12 is much better for monitoring and alerting in my opinion and more information available of the box now. To give an example for Nexus 7 this is what Hardware Details looks like in NPM12. Hope this helps.
  • Hi. On NPM12 it should be capable of monitoring Nexus 7ks Hardware out of the box now. What version are you running?
  • Thanks again.
  • Jonathan, thank you for your help with this and also to Casey for confirming. Very much appreciated.
  • I am still working through this with TAC at the moment. They gave me some things to try, mainly excluding particular MIB's and assigning this block to a particular community, see below:- snmp-server view test dot1dBridge excluded snmp-server view test ciscoFlashMIB excluded I was also asked to use the command "no ip http…
  • Thats brilliant. works a treat. thanks a lot for the help.
  • Hi John Thanks for this, i'll start polling for these and hope it doesn't have any ill affects on the Nexus (they are sensitive souls after all, well ours are for some reason). Really appreciated the help. Andy
  • Have you by any chance heard anything further about this as something that is being looked into? I agree this would be very useful especially for sending PDF's to external companies and the option of withholding the URL would definitley be a good thing if people internal or external don't happen to have an account but wish…
  • Someone has suggested to me instead of using the Custom Summary that i have been trying to use (which doesn't seem to work for me) to use Views instead and add it as a tab under the Menu Bars. Under Admin (Settings), click Manage Views and Add a New View, name it and select Summary as the type of view. Select the Resources…
  • In my Summary Home Page it is set to Network Summary Home which is a personalised page i created for my team. Interestingly last night the Configuration Wizard was run again to fix another issue and when i looked at Custom Summary it had gone back to edit. However once i tried to Customize the page and clicked done it…
  • Have you managed to get the system to alert where both power supplies have issues, but not enough to power the node down? The reason i ask is because i have been using same cefcFRUPowerOperStatus MIB to poll the state of the FEX's, however i have seen an issue today where one of the FEX's is reporting issues with both…
  • Thanks mate. Not used those before but will give it a try
  • Hi yes we are monitoring them all through the NPM. I have managed to right a report through the Report Writer to display all tengig connections (by searching for name starts with "te" and "Ethernet1/") that show as Last Seen Never. However some of the interfaces are interlink connections that have physical connections but…
  • Thanks for this. i will give it a try. With regards to the Tipping Points themselves i am actually locked out the system due to politics. However i will pass this on as well, so thanks again for the tip.
  • Thanks for the response. I will have a search through the UnDP to see if i can find any relevant pollers to use.
  • Yes i just manually delete the information from this folder now. However after speaking to our Service Provider they have advised that this could be down to Anti-Virus preventing the clearing up of this folder. I have requested our IT security team to remove the scanning of this folder, but as IT Security can tend to be…
  • Hi Did you ever hear anything back about getting Nexus 5020s working with UDT? I have the same problem and wonder if its something i am doing wrong. It works great with everything else that i have checked so far, except for nodes that are on layer 2 or on VLAN's behind a firewall. If you have any advice that would be…
  • HI After working with TAC for some time on this, it was identified that my switches had 2 known bugs associated to SNMP and SHH. After upgrading the code on my switches to a version where these bugs were fixed this appears to now be working or me. If it helps the bug ID's TAC identified were CSCed69872 and CSCsv32556. May…
  • We are having the same problems with our 3750 stacks. Although we haven't implemented UDT and we have been running 10.3 for a few months now with no problems until the last 3 weeks or so. I raised a ticket with TAC and all they came back with was to reboot the stack of switches. Which i did, things were fine for a couple…
