Hi
I am very new to Orion and have learnt most of what i know about the software (which is not a lot) from trial and error. I have hit problem with Advanced Alerts that i can't seem to work out and wondered if anyone else had experienced or seen a work around for the same thing?
We have 2 teams support teams within our company, a Europe Support Group and an India Support Group, for which I have setup an Advanced Alert to mail everyone within those teams when a Cisco Node goes Down and comes back Up again, which works fine. A requirement has come into play now where i need the India nodes to be reported to the India mailbox only and Europe Nodes to the Europe mailbox only. To test this I have tried writing 2 more Advanced Alerts on top of the original as follows by adding an extra trigger alert after the Vendor is equal to Cisco (and mailing to me only purely for testing):-
Trigger Alert when ALL of the following apply
Node Status is equal to DOWN
Vendor is equal to CISCO
Trigger Alert when any of the following apply
Node Name contains PUNE
Node Name contains DELHI
Node Name contains MUMBAI
The second new Advanced Alert i have written is basically the same as above except i have written after the Vendor is Equal to Cisco i have issued a "Trigger Alert when None of the following apply" with the same Node Name contains rules.
For some reason this does not work and it could well be down to my lack of understanding of writing these rules and one rule actually cancelling out the other rather.
Has anyone got any idea's as to how i could work around this so the correct node issues get reported to the right mailbox?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer
