It is 2026, I cannot find the Thwack Store either…

Denny you said "Imagine that you have a file that should be updated every 5 minutes. You could trigger an alert if the age of the file is greater than 5 minutes." That is almost exactly what my scenario is, need to make sure that the file is updated every 10 minutes. I read on this page:…

The enhancement request above is to be disable "Alert Management Rights." Apparently this is not possible if the account has "Node Management Rights" enabled. That is a clarification of the enhancement request. All of the other detail in the original post is accurate, albeit confusing.

My test of the alert was successful and to be honest I'm not really sure why I was looking at a different warning threshold in this case. The file is either updated or it is not, that is really all that matters. If the file is not updated in 5 minutes something is wrong with the system. To answer your question I did not…

Hi Kevin, Where can I find the text of that Powershell script? I like to try it out, can you provide a link or the text? Thanks

There is a field called Hardware in the Node details and it displays Physical when the devices are not VMs. I cannot find that field to make a report. That would be the easiest solution, just pull all physical Hardware in a report. It must be in a separate table that I do not know how to access.

No you are correct, I got distracted and did not read your message well. It appears you would need access to the Orion servers to use trap viewer. You may need to call in a favor or request that someone set up trap alerts.
-
Go to your Orion server and search for Trap Viewer. You can create rules there and configure them to send email messages. It is not intuitive or easy, but it has worked. I have used it on previous versions, but have moved away from that tool.

I may have found my answer on another thread, but it will take some time to implement and test. A system will be added to this counters as the hardware Health Sensors polling is available for that devce. If you click on List resources, it could be available it is depending on the hardware. It appears that this widget works when I have administrator access, but dashboards for users only see the SAMPLE. What do we need to enable or add to give them access to this resource?

I have struggled with a similar issue. I was hoping there was a better way to do it, but I came up with a solution for now. I duplicate the alerts, limit them in the trigger to the server group or groups for one team, send emails for that alert to that team. The problem that is not solved is when I provide a specific view…

I struggled with this too. The only way I found to remove a large number of nodes from a template was to make a copy of it and then delete the original. Next I added the nodes to the copy and renamed it. There should be a better way, but I can't find it.
