Sorry guys I'm not sure if i posted this in the correct section...
I'm not sure which software suits my needs for my university project...
I'm doing a dissertation on Performance analysis of QoS on a VOIP network
The network topology will be simple, only 2 routers, with IP phones
I will setup various queueing methods and marking, then overload the network with data (http, multicast, etc - just to simulate real enviornment)
and voice calls simultaneously.
I want to measure bandwidth, delay, jitter and packet loss and graph the values. then compare the results between queueing method or/& marking
I'm planning on using IP SLA on cisco routers and maybe NETFLOW/ CBQoS - at the moment I don't understand them, it seems to me they both gather values like IP SLA.
So, my question is - which software is best suited to my project?
Since it is a demo is there any chance of increasing the evaluation date? deadline for my project is June
