IP SLA is not supported

Question

Hi,

I have a node that has been configured for some UDP jitter and TCP connect measurements with IP SLA. When I check on the router with a show ip sla statistics, I can see that the IP SLA is working correctly

However, when I try to add the node into the SLA manager with either Automatically Discover IP SLA capable nodes or Manually Add Orion nodes to IP SLA I get the message for the particular node IP SLA is not supported.

I've checked SNMP settings for the node and tested them in Orion, and that works.

The IOS version is identical to another node I have in the IP SLA which is working. Also config wise both routers are identical.

Does anyone have an idea what this could be ?

With SNMP v3, most vendors require that you create & assign views to the various credentials--there may be a view/rights issue in what the different v3 accounts have assigned to them.

I've just tested with v2 and it works then. The SNMPv3 settings are identical with a box that works. So I will use this as a workaround and test further with snmpv3. Thanks!

Please verify if the correct SNMPv3 credentials (username, authentication key and privacy key) are provided.
