Orion Platform and the meaning of "unlimited" with only 1 Main Polling Engine

Could do 24k at double timings or 36k at triple timings or 15k on a beefy box hoping to not break anything i suppose.

Adam,  what do you mean when you say "double timings"?  

Check 12k things every 3 minutes, or 24k things every 6 minutes, or 36k things every 9 minutes, so on and so forth.
As long as your server doesnt start to die you'll be alright for the unlimited stuff.

Adam is on point here, the Unlimited is meaning they license won't stop you from monitoring however the limitations of what the software/hardware combined can. However as he pointed out this is changable by adjusting the polling intervals. There are other licenses that would stop you hard at 500 or 2k elements for example no matter how many polling engines you deploy.
