Background upgrade for APM_ProcessEvidence detail errors to TimeSeries started

After upgrading to 2023.1 last week one certain event log started to flood the event list with the message:

"Background upgrade for APM_ProcessEvidence detail errors to TimeSeries started"

I have tried searching around to no avail. Can anyone enlighten me on how to correct this issue?

Doesn't seem to be an issue.

"This is known issue or bug in 2023.1 and hopefully will be fixed at 2023.2 version.

Looks like it continues getting events. No source or affected application monitor. It's just events that continues pop up causing false information.

Workaround:
    - open the database manager from your SolarWinds server
    - find the table EventTypes
    - find the eventtype=1000
    - Enable Editing and set the value in the Record column to False (current value:TRUE)
    - that should stop recording of those events to the Events table"

I am having

"Background upgrade for APM_DynamicEvidence detail errors to TimeSeries started."

every 10 minutes since the update to 2023.1

I did not involve support.

The workaround seams to mute all informational events.

1000	Informational

Not sure if I will implement this.

This did work to stop seeing the message. Thanks for sharing. I do worry though that the issue is still happening behind the scenes and it indicates some sort of problem.

I received a reply from support regarding the ticket I opened on this. They say:

"...this is a known bug. The tracking nos. for this bug is OO-14318.

The bug fix will be released as part of Release Version 2023.4."

Support went on to provide a workaround that appears to be the same as what @bobmarley described earlier in this thread.

I noticed that 2023.4 is available in the list of options when opening a support ticket and, I hope, this means that it will be officially available soon.

Just upgraded to 2023.4. The same message shows up. In other words, the bug is not fixed in 2023.4.

@Jugabor Does the workaround posted by @bobmarley help? If not, then it is likely a different problem that we may need to diagnosis. The general feedback has been the workaround has been working. If you have an open case, please feel free to share and we will fast track to make sure the issue is resolved properly.

The workaround does not prevent the issue. It just deletes this message from SolarWinds SQL database after it is alerted.

I upgraded to 2023.4.1 and it still exists there as well.
