Did you cut off internet connection? The World map is loaded via MapQuest. Could also be that there’s an issue with the Mapquest API.
I've got this in two separate environments with internet access, something wide happening.
Mapquest homepage map looks fineAny query to troubleshoot?
It's also worth mentioning this leaflet page wasnt visible before, it links to the site of a ukranian library host, who seems to have having war-related issues. Could be something that needs a patch
Oh, it seems I was completely wrong, it’s OpenStreetMap now.. leaflet points to OSM… I have to do some investigation myself then
as per SolarWinds technical support .
Make sure that the Firewall allows the following IP address: • 34.227.250.99 • 34.239.87.216 • 54.84.207.87 • 34.214.138.249 • 35.160.154.162 • 52.39.4.3
These are all fine for me, issue persists though. How about you?
Did you find anything so far?sadiqsul's message above implies support are still referencing MapQuest too
i think this issue everyone having . still not yet
I'm in the same boat and have logged a support ticket. What a pain.
Have we established that there is no value in allowing those IP addresses through the firewall?
The IPs need to be allowed in order to make it work, once the current issue is resolved.
Understood - as it worked until yesterday I assume that they must already be allowed and it's therefor just impact from the current issue.
Cheers all
Same issue here. Opened case to raise visibility.
Me too. Same issue. Case opened.
Seen a message from MapQuest acknowledging the issue now
response from our support request
Hi , Good Day! Thank you for contacting SolarWinds Technical Support. My name is Renan and I will be working on this case with you. This is to acknowledge that we have received your concern about worldwide maps not working or blank. This is caused by Mapquest API website change where they changed the behavior of how they display their worldwide map on their website. Solarwinds developed a fix on this and will be applied in the upcoming 2023.1 version that will be released within the quarter. “So looks like we all have to wait. Not a very good response IMO
The is vital functionality for us. We need a workaround or a hotfix.
Same here... Kind of hard to run a noc / soc without it on a global scale... someone was asleep at the wheel at least not notifying customers this would be a possibility by a certain date at a minimum. api changes just dont happen without communication and documentation in advance
I'm having trouble understanding the support. We have received countless tickets from our customers today. They need to be notified in advance by support.
Mines back.
Thank you to @sadiqsul for pointing the the problem javascript. We found the same problem in our lab and confirmed the MapQuest Demo Site was failing as well. It does appear Mapquest did resolve this issue. Here is a mapquest url to test if interested: developer.mapquest.com/.../
They wrong lol
We had the same thing this morning and it resolved on its own some time this afternoon.
Support confirmed the issue was with MapQuest and is resolved.
