Send Server Logs to Orion with NXLog

Hello. I have seen SolarWinds documentation explaining how to send Windows Server logs using NXLog, but only using the Loggly website.

I'm wondering, since we already have log ingestion and alerting for network equipment in Orion, is there no way to use something like NXLog to send Server logs to Orion in a similar manner?

Any insight or advice is appreciated.

The best option, if you have the licensing for it, is to use [mention:eb1ed9b3ef304923be835419c3dad295:23b05a61c3e5445190d9bfa00453bce4] or [mention:a84e186fd01942edab9c43c038b14c6c:23b05a61c3e5445190d9bfa00453bce4] as they use an agent to automatically pull in log data. It can be for Windows EventIDs or pointed to a flat log file.

If you don't have those licensing options, and do not upgrade to them, then use the Windows Log Forward free tool like @donrobert5 mentioned. The free tool does have downsides in that it doesn't normalize the log data. It is simply a raw dump per log event vs the licensed LA/HCO option that categorizes EventIDs and other niceties.
