We are using SolarWinds IPAM, which is tied to our Windows DHCP servers. Creating new DHCP reservations and removing existing reservations works fine via IPAM. The changes are immediately reflected in the DHCP server. However, I noticed that in IPAM it is possible to pull up an existing reservation and make a change to it (like the MAC address) and tell it to replicate that change to the DHCP server. The update will complete with no errors in IPAM, but the change is NOT reflected on the Windows DHCP server. Is there a way to prevent an IPAM user from making such a change to an existing reservation or, failing that, to at least generate an alert that the update did NOT go through on the DHCP server side?
Thanks,
