Perfstack differs from VMAN stats by 1000x

Question

Check out the different between network traffic shown in Perfstack versus the network

stats in VMAN Virtualization Summary for  specific host. Judging from the graphs in

windows on the VM it looks like the Perstack KB/s numbers are goofed up by a

factor of 1000. What's going on?

I would recommend opening Task Manager on the VM and verifying which of the metrics referenced above most closely matches what the operating system itself is reporting.

This VM is a Windows FS Logix server. It stores profile data for instant clones.

I'm seeing ~430kbps (or less thn 1Mbps) on the PerfStack chart and 332MB/s on the Resource Utilization widget. So that's a fairly significant difference. However, these values are not the same thing and come from different sources. The data in the PerfStack widget comes from either SNMP, WMI, or a locally installed Agent. The data in the 'Resource Utilization' is coming from the VMware API. Presumably the vCenter.

Is this VM running Windows or Linux?
