Can I schedule reports in STM that run more often that Once a day?
What version of SM are you using? I'm not sure if this has been addressed in the later versions of SM, but in 5.3.x you can do it, but it's a tad messy...
Example: You want a report to run every 4 hours & emailed to you: Go to Reports > Report Schedules and create a New Schedule ( You will need a schedule for every time period that you want the report to run 4am, 8am, 12pm, 4pm, 8pm, 12am;
Create a new schedule, Select Daily as the Frequency as Daily & Time to run (e.g. 4am) - Fill in the rest of the details/ mail recipients / report you want to run etc & save it.
Then create another schedule with the next time period 8am with the same details, keep going until you have all the times you want...
I'm sure Balki 1429 or one the guys on the later version of SM can confirm wether this has been addressed in the later versions, otherwise will need to raise a Feature Request to have it added.
Edit: I've had a look on the v5.6 interactive demo and the schedule is still the same as 5.3.x
I'vel raised a FR for this as I'd imagine I'm not the only one who'd like a report ran more than once a day without having to create multiple schedules.

A scheduling mechanism with the flexibility of "cron" would be extremely useful.
Eg:Schedules such as:
* Every hour, between 9am to 5pm, on week days.
* 30 minutes past every 6th hour (eg: 0:30, 6:30, 12:30, 18:30).
* Every 10 minutes, to update a "Publish Report (Overwrite)" image, for display elsewhere via image URL. - Note, requires a mechanism that alerts when generation of a report would cause an overlap/race-condition (eg: complain if a previous instant of a report is still running).
Conditional schedules would also be useful.
Eg:
* Send a report every hour, but only if one of the reported metrics are over/under threshold.
Thanks cdekort The way you've described is currently the best way to make this happen.
tksmith - What is the reason you need a scheduled report run more than once per day?
Cdekort
Thanks for that. A useful feature I am thinking. Surprised no-one has asked for it before?

When we run migrations or other work I would like to automate the "informational" reports I send to the stakeholders to keep them informed of what is gong on. This helps them rule in or out the involvement of the storage migrations that we may be running.
