SQL Sentry Plan Explorer currently does not support SQL Server Management Studio 19.x

Same problem here. SSMS 19.X is not supported. Microsoft implemented some braking changes in SSMS 19 Preview 4, so older add-in versions cannot register anymore. Red-Gate had the same problems but was faster in fixing SQL Prompt et al.

Hey there gv6132 and kondrich!  Good news!  The Plan Explorer add-in for SSMS 19.0.1 fix will be released here in a few weeks as part of the 2023.2 build.  Keep an eye out for the release sometime in mid April.

There is still plenty of love for Plan Explorer here at SolarWinds.  While we haven't made as much progress as we would have liked with it recently, we are collecting feedback from the community on ways to enhance it and I'm hoping that we'll have some additions here in 2023.

I noticed that I was using an outdated version anyway (2022.something). I read about a user here who installed version 2023.1. However, auto-updater did not find a newer version, so I re-downloaded the installer and was surprised. It's version 2023.1.3 that was not found automatically.

Plan explorer change list still shows 2021.12.2 as latest version: https://my.sentryone.com/changelist/planexplorer

I was speaking about such discrepancies when I was talking about missing love for Plan Explorer.

Any news on 2023.2?

The downloadable installer is still 2023.1.

There was a hiccup in getting the release link updated on the page.  2023.2.7 should now be downloadable on there.
