Overhead with SAM

In my environment I'm running SAM (Services and Counters, Event Viewer and IIS) against most of my windows servers. Some of the servers are web servers that just happen to be behind an F5 load balancer. Thanks to Solarwinds itself, I noticed the throughput on the F5 was quite large so i started digging into it. Well the top talker/bandwidth was my Solarwinds server hitting those web servers. There is a lot of data being transferred between the servers and i was wondering if others have noticed the same thing.

I see essentially up to 20 MB transferred often off and on. Total in an hour are hundreds of Mbytes of data between the servers. I've seen up to 1 GB total between 5 web servers and my Solarwinds server (Top 5 Endpoints - network tab)

My settings are essentially the default polling values for the ones I listed earlier.

I'm attempting to tweak the event viewer poller values now at this point to see if that help but looking for any tips/adivce, etc...

Are you using Agent or Agent-less poling?

So I changed things to agent polling and it's much better. Things look much better so it appears to solve my concern.
