Renaming component monitors

So I'm monitoring several websites through our Ironport proxy ... no problem there I've assigned multiple HTTP monitors with proxy details.

However when I view the application on the APM/SAM webpage it just lists 5 x HTTP Monitors ... no details, user notes, description or anyway for me to differentiate between them.

Even if I click on the HTTP monitor the individual monitor webpage it doesn't show me any details whatsoever.

So I guess I need to find out how to rename the component monitors themselves ... i.e. rename "HTTP Monitor" to "HTTP Monitor - BBC", "HTTP Monitor - Google" etc.

I have this problem repeatedly with various SAM/APM application monitors, performance counters, wmi services etc... next to impossible to figure out what the monitor actually is without a lot of digging. Surely I'm missing some simple step here?

Hello,

Please go to the Edit Application page and if you don't see any "Rename" button on the right of the components then the components are inherited from the template.

Please click on the template link to go to the Edit Template page. Here you should see the "Rename" buttons for each component.
