DNS Monitoring: Need some guidance

I'm needing some guidance, Im looking for a way to alert and monitor an DNS path/record and not sure the way to do so. I have a very simple powershell command I want to run but not sure how or where to implement or utilize another tool in Orion that provides the same function.

"Resolve-DnsName doman.name.com -Server X.X.X.X" Just want to make sure this DNS record our infoblox stays online and if it goes down I can somehow send an alert so were aware. Im an junior network admin and im alittle lost on what I need to do, thanks much!.

The DNS monitor is a component so you should be able to create a component based alert for that.

There are two possibilities I could think of that might help. The DNS User Experience monitor (SAM Component) might provide something useful:

Or if you already have a good Power Shell script written you could consider modifying a little and simply use it in a Scripting Component in SAM:

I take it that IPAM is not an option? That has very nice DNS monitoring.

Are you able to alert from the DNS monitoring in IPAM?

I was looking at the DNS user experience and goof around with it alittle, is there a way to alert when one of the paths go down?
