How to use compiled Nagios Plugins

We have some compiled nagios plugins we would like to use on our unix server. Since there is no script I assume we would just need to call the nagios script with the appropriate parameters and leave the "script body" empty.

My question is does Solarwinds send the compiled nagios plugin to the server, as it does with a script, or do we need to put the nagios plugin on each server we would like to run the script on. If so is there a particular directory it needs to live in?

Compiled binaries must reside on the host being monitored. SAM does not transfer these to the server like it does the script body. The command line of the component monitor should reference where on the remote file system the compiled binary resides.
