Custom Properties for Applications

I thought I saw a posting for this previously but I cannot find it...So, I will start a new one.

So we can have custom properties for Nodes, Volumes, and Interfaces, but what about us APM users!?!?

I cant tell you how many times I have needed a custom property on a Application. I think I read earlier that there would be issues with custom properties on templates, but I dont care about templates. I also dont care about components, that would just get too crazy to handle, but Applications would be super sweeeet.

Things i would use it for:

Contact information for applications, a bit to use in an advanced alert to decide to alert on it or not, a bit to use in advanced alerts to decide to restart a service... the options are nearly endless.

Please, oh please SolarWinds, seriously consider adding this feature to APM.

Yes, this is something we know would be useful and have gotten many requests for (see link from aaron to the other thread). We can't commit to timeframes, but it's something we'd like to do in the future.
