SAP Monitor

I'm trying to load an sap wsdl into solarwinds and keep getting 401 unauthorized. I've tested the same wsdl in soapui with the same credentials and it works just fine. My wsdl and credentials work fine in soapui and through a browser.

Any ideas or help is appreciated.

The 'Unauthorized' error means that the URL requires authentication to access the WSDL file. I would recommend downloading the WSDL and copying it a web server which does not require authentication to access so it can be loaded into SAM's SOAP Monitor. This can even be a virtual directory on the Orion server itself hosted in IIS allowing anonymous connections to that virtual directory.

I'm not sure I understand. When we load the wsdl into SAM it needs to login to SAP and be authenticated. It's an http connection to sap to login get system info and exit. Even if I put the wsdl in a browser I get prompted by the SAP application to login. I'm not sure how I could get past that or would want to. Do I misunderstand how a wsdl works?

Additionally, I have loaded this into SoapUI and it also prompts for userid and password, and works w/o issue.

The WSDL is a file like any other. It can be downloaded and saved to your desktop, then shared via a different web server and loaded into SAM's SOAP Monitor. Alternatively you will need to enable anonymous authentication to the URL in SAP which is hosting the WSDL file before it will be loaded into SAM's SOAP Monitor. Unfortunately the WSDL loader does not yet support authentication, so you will need to either host the WSDL file on a different web server where it can be loaded without authentication, or change the authentication requirements to allow anonymous connections to the existing web server.
