Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
Configuring alerts for network equipment
FormerMember
Hello,
I am running Orion Network Performance Monitor 8.0 and I am seeing a large number of tickets when one of our offices has a power failure.
I want to configure alerts based on the router for a office and have everything behind it. So when the router is rebooted or losses power along with the rest of the office, I see only one alert and not one for every switch and server.
My last company used SiteScope by Mercury and this was able to show one alert when something went down instead of alerts for the device and
everything
behind it.
Is Solarwinds able to have alerts configured in the manner I am thinking?
Thank you.
Sincerely,

Open the 'Orion System Manager'.
When setting up Alerts you should see the option to suppress alerts. This is where you can set the when/why to suppress.
